Recently I recieved a LMAO that was really quite beautiful but I just couldn't find the inspiration to contribute. I finally did a contribution and passed it along, but my effort wasn't very good.
I think the LMAO wasn't what I expected, other people had interpreted the description differently to me and I felt silly doing it differently to everyone else. So my question is: If you're LMAO is recieved by someone, but that someone has chosen not to make a entry and to send it along, do you think this is o.k.?

I think if you interpreted it differently, that's okay. That's what makes you so unique. If you feel you'd do a horrible job, just stick a post it note in it saying you were uninspired and were afraid adding to it would ruin it and pass it along. I think it's okay as long as you don't act like "yeah, whatever" and pass it on, no explination.

I had this problem recently.
I was first in line to receive an LMAO. I got it, but it was a plain composition book with absolutely nothing on it. Completely blank. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I couldn't come up with anything. I like looking at other people's stuff to inspire me. Being first doesn't give that option. *sighs* I ended up doing a not-very-inspired collage. I feel badly, but I wanted to do _something_. The topic was neat and I think that if I had waited a few days I'd end up with something a lot better, but I like to do things _now_ . Sorry, that probably wasn't very helpful. Is it time to go home yet? |

I'd LOVE to see someone do something different from everyone else. The diversity is what I love most.
If a participant really can't find inspiration, I'd rather see someone pass my LMAO along in a reasonably timely manner than keep it for three months while they wait to be inspired. (I would want them to take some time to try to be inspired, but if I send a request for a ransom note or a love letter to my LMAO or anything like that, it means I'm ready to see it move....heh...) mejaka |
