Haunted House Chunky Book

Haunted House 4x4 Chunky Book Project
OPEN FOR 20 SIGN-UPS : WE'RE FULL!

PAGES DUE TO ME BY OCTOBER 1, 2006
Make 20 pages for 20 players (original or embellished copies OK)
4x4 inches front and back (please don't forget to add name & location)
$5.00 to cover postage and binding costs is required for this project.

----------------------------------------------------------------

THEME:

This chunky book will be a "Haunted House". The front cover starts with the front gate & each page will progress through the property and rooms of a haunted house. Please select a room scene -OR- items in a room for your theme. (Example: You could do a kitchen scene -OR- just a haunted fridge.) Theme ideas might include a creepy staircase, fireplace mantle, parlor, bathroom, bedroom, yard scene, front exterior walkway or front door, pets, attic, basement, playroom, nursery, library, hallway, office, dining room, gameroom, portrait wall, closet, workshop, garage, garden shed, small graveyard, garden, etc... Just be sure to make it nice and spooky. Make it fun! Add a surprise or two: maybe something hidden, a fold-out, tag, moveable element, pocket, pop-up, etc...

----------------------------------------------------------------
CHUNKY BOOKS: (general info)

Each player makes 20 pages according to the chosen theme. The pages can be all handmade -OR- copies, as long as they are made on heavy cardstock or good sturdy paper. Each page is then embellished with charms, fibers, buttons, eyelets, fabric, or whatever strikes your fancy. Don't forget to decorate the back of your pages and include your name & location (at least).

I will be coil binding these & I am using a Rubicoil punch, so please make sure that the left 1-1/2 inches of your page is not too thick to slide into the binding punch & no sticky stuff or unpunchable materials in the leftmost 1/4". (see page diagram below)

Cheryl-

Tenetively put me down for the kitchen. I might change later, but for now I've got a few ideas cooking...

(ok, that pun's pretty scary in itself!)

I would LOVE to do this. I'm envisioning a scene through a window. It'll likely be a parlor, but I also have an idea for a really creepy dining room. So one of the two.
