Ditto that. Different reasons, same result... sigh.
I'm in the mood for liver - maybe tomorrow. My mother, who hates to cook, actually found a way to make delicious liver (if one doesn't overdo it): one onion, juice of at least one lemon (I use two), and about 1/2lb of calf liver (or would that be veal liver...?) - quantities per person. On medium-high heat, melt onion in vegetable oil, add liver and cook until no raw spots appear on the surface, add lemon juice, cook until juice completely evaporated. Believe me, it turned me from liver-hater to occasional aficionado. Yep.
I think I'll do some knitting tonight.
Cuilanië

Er. About the knitting. That's provided I can hold the needles straight, and considering how much trouble I'm having typing, I'm not too hopeful.
I wish knitting needles were allowed on board planes, it would be a great activity for those long hours of sitting in a flying bus...
Ooh, the Frog & Rosbif pub. Haven't been there in ages...

I hate the people I work with, I hate the people who call me, I hate the program we deliver, I hate the department I work for, I hate the software package we use.
Did I mention that I hate my job?

I miss my sister and my nephew.
I am supposed to go to my friend's mom's boyfriend's cabin this weekend for my friend's mom's 50th birthday but I really don't want to go anymore. I did at first but now I don't. When I talked to my friend last night I got the distinct impression that she does not want to go either but she has to of course because it is her Mom.
I would rather stay at home and hide... but if I stay home I just KNOW I will get suckered into toaking my son to the <shudder> Yu-Gi-Oh movie.... ewwwwwwww

- I'm going to see Garden State tonight with frizball.
- Haley said she's leaving with or without you because she wants to get there way early. I do hope you're there.
- I need to put more gas in my car before I go over there because the gas light came on... let's see how far I can run it this time. And 9 dollars is outrageous for a movie ticket... just because the theater is all wannabe indie underground and shit doesn't mean they can charge $3 more for a ticket.

I think my sister made it through the hurricane. I talked to her yesterday about an hour after it made landfall and she was hanging out in her bathroom and interior hall. Her power went out while we were on the phone.
She said that after storms like this you should stay inside for awhile because there will be a lot of snakes outside. EEEwwwww!

10 more days of work then off until next summer.
"Cleaned" my room yesterday because I got a call that an old pal was going to visit... it was in complete dissarray... mostly art supplies (paper stuff is so fiddlesome to put away!). So within an half hour, my room is *spotless*... they never turned up... gr... do you know that this means?! I now actually have to go through *everything* and reorganize... I stuffed things out of eye sight, the quick fix, not put in it's proper place... eh. Mabye I'm nit picky~ lol ;)

Happy birthday, Lilac. I love Matilda for a kitten name. Gracie too, but I'd be forced to get another kitten and name it George.
Thanks you for the birthday greeting@!!!
And, oh...this little kitten...sooo sweet. Actually, she's a bit homely, but homely in a way that makes her absolutely adorable, but also breaks your heart. She was the runt of the litter...her little tail was broken during birth and curls like a pig's tail. She really can't move it, so she looks quite stubby wandering around. She a calico, half he face is orange, half brownish striped. And she so small, only the size of my hand, but she's 7 weeks old. I love her, though!!!

Hey Miss Lilac -- add my "Happy Birthday" wish to your collection ;)
I saw your b-day announced after midnight last night, but I thought there was some glitch in that program which posted the wrong date... anyone else remember that?
I've printed the same photograph 3 times and messed up every print in a different way.
Word for the day: a sustained "Aaaaaaarrrrrrrggggghhhhh!"

Three random and slightly creepy facts:
Morticians suture the anus to prevent leakage, odor, and "wicking" into the coffin fabric.
The brain is the last thing to burn when a body is cremated.
In the 1600's illegal disinterment for the purpose of dissection was so rampant that the affluent often payed outrageous amounts for cement crypts and iron caskets to prevent the theft of their bodies after burial.

Oscillating the wine in the glass in front of the monitor gives some amazing strobe effects from the raster scan, as the edge of the moving wine wave is limned in Invision PowerBoard blue at seven or eight successive points along its screenward edge.
Now I wonder what relation a wine wave bears to a sine wave. If I were playing Transformation it would be simple.
The Athens Olympics website has lots of problems, but it's extremely well conceived, and kinda fun for them as has no televisions.

Sometimes I think crushes are way better than "the real thing." I've never had to put my heart back together after a crush, just dust it off a bit.
Skilyne - Quotes and multiquotes aren't too bad, but it is different than before. The (Qoute +) button is for multiple quotes - just click that button on each post you want to quote, and the button will change color as you do. Then hit (add reply) button at the bottom of the page, and all the posts you marked will be quoted.
For just quoting a singe post, hit the (Reply " " ) button.

Lonely here again. What is UP with feeling this way? I typically just don't mind it...but these days it has been bothering me a bit more...and I just feel so lonely.
It is a beautiful day out today!!! And I've got all my windows open...I'm getting a nice soft cross breeze. Oh...I love fresh air!

I also want to learn Korean, Romanian, and German. I speak some French, and I want to work on Spanish.
I have such lofty goals for my language skills...I'll see how that all pans out in the end.

Bought an amplifier for my hubby's "new" truck today, I helped him install it...
My car took a crap and Hubby is leaving for THREE WEEKS on Monday so who knows if it will get fixed by then.
While I was driving to his shop I was thinking of driving to a used car dealer and asking them if I could buy a car on my credit card...I have a $30,000.00 limit on my visa so it's not like it wouldn't "fit".
When he sells his "old" truck I get a better car, but he wants too much for it so I don't think it will sell anytime soon. Besides it is a big block= lots of gas, no one wants to buy a truck that gets 10 miles to the gallon these days.

I am trying to figure out how I am going to get to the airport in 12 days.
I am somewhat able to drive the huge behemoth my hubby calls a truck, but I have great difficulties parking it.
The truck in question:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v117/tanagee/dually_2.jpg
it is the 'old' truck, which is identical to the "new" truck, except for year, make (Chevy vs GMC) and this one is lowered .
We actually bought the "new" truck from the original owner for $9K in '97, then sold it to a friend in '98 for $10K, and we bought it back last month from him for $3K. Why? I don't know.
edited cuz I didn't make much sense.
