I am SO IN NEED of him tonight
It's an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day outside today..and that makes me happy! :D So then...one might ask...what am I still doing inside after being at work all day? Who knows!

Go Larrissa, nothing like simplicity to make life... er... simple. ;)
I'm drinking beer. That's a normal reaction to a long, hot, sunny day. ^_^
Proof positive that my mind works in Paradoxical ways: I had an idea for what I'm going to send people in lieu of greeting cards this Christmas (on this long, hot, sunny day...), and made one to see how it would turn out. The experiment was conclusive, though. :)

I am unnaturally tired today. I fell asleep 3 times while I was in the middle of work, and I took my 30-minute lunch break to curl up in a chair and sleep.
It has been determined by some at work that only someone as insane as I could curl themselves up small enough to fit on a chair and then be able to sleep in the middle of a tool shop like that...with all the noise and such.
It doesn't bother me. When I'm tired, I can sleep mostly anywhere under many conditions.

A social worker from the state came to the house out of the blue this afternoon and told me that Gwen is getting off the waiting list she has been on for SEVEN FREAKIN' YEARS and will be getting a substantial annual amount of funding for services within 30 - 90 days.

seeing the cure last night was just amazing. they played for about 2 hours and every bit of it was fantastic.
the rapture, muse, interpol, and mogwai were some of the others i went to see, but none of them could top the cure.
it was almost like out of one of those dreams ..i was standing under the stars, somewhat back from the cure, but could see and hear them pretty well, wrapped up in dave's arms, swaying and dancing to the lovely music. it'll forever be in my head ..

~ I'm so happy for gwensmom & fam. What great news! That makes me feel all warm & fuzzy inside knowing that sometimes good things really do happen to good people.
~ I was online until 2:30 last night with my new speedy internet but I couldn't figure out how to get onto the N'ness forums. The link I had was something like nervousness.org/forums & that wasn't working. I forgot until I did a Yahoo search today that it was forums.nervousness.org. Ah silly me. All of that wasted time I could have umm... wasted.. playing chain games.
~ I would love to keep playing now but since I don't work today I really need to get some things done around the house, and run a few errands. Have a good day everyone!
p.s. I'm so jealous that zanna got to see The Cure AND Muse!! Uh!!! Just another thing to add to my list of it's-not-fair!-I-want-to-do-that-but-I-probably-never-will-get-the-chance-to things.

I kept trying to get onto Nness, and all it kept telling me was that I was forbidden to enter the site, because I didn't have the proper credentials. It was making me VERY ANGRY, but I just pulled up the site from my address bar from where I was yesterday...and it worked.
Theresa...you wouldn't have to be at all embarrassed! I don't even have the nerve to ATTEMPT the bar exam!
I made a lot of ATCs last night...I feel like I accomplished something.
That would have been a GREAT concert Zanna! I'm jealous...

2. I have a blank journal I bought from Target for $1 that's burning a hole in my pocket, but I don't know what to do with it.
3. I wish 6 o'clock would get here quicker. I want to go home and sleep, despite the fact I need groceries. I've decided I won't do Chipotle for dinner (to far away), so I think I'll just repeat the ramen incident of last night, though I may have a bagel.

Just when you think the DoD is the scariest ministry on the block, the DoJ has to trump it. They keep doing things like this (http://www.ala.org/ala/pr2004/july2004/sdstatement.htm), and the reportage of them is shockingly minor. I never heard about this latest one till the statement of the ALA president-elect came through on a Librarians' listerv I'm on.
Removing copies of the laws relating to government seizures from publicly accessible libraries. That's reassuring, isn't it? Orwellian, if you ask me.
There is never an excuse in a nation governed by laws for making the content of the laws inaccessible to the public. This is the sort of thing that makes me truly fear for the future of this country.

I had one of 'those' kinds of dreams while I was pregnant. I dreamt that I left the newborn baby in the dog house with Lucky and he got his tie-out wrapped around the baby's neck and strangled it.
I know I would have never left the dog to babysit so I'm sure it was one of those fear of losing the baby type dreams.
I also had one of 'those' dreams that unfortunately came true. The day I stopped feeling pregnant with my first pregnancy I had a dream where I found my fetus in the attic with a toe tag reading "fetal demise- chromosomal abnormality". I woke up feeling really disturbed and it unsettled me all day. 4 days later I found out that the baby had died. I was 10 1/2 weeks.

I have some kind of bites, either flea or mosquito, on my ankles. They itch LIKE MAD.
Everyone got flea meds tonight, just in case.
My cloth diapers arrived and I'm supposed to wash the unbleached ones 3-4 times before use. So here I am, 10 weeks away from having a baby, and already washing dozens of diapers! The irony.

While I admit apricot in a chocolate-chip cookie seems a little odd - not the sort of thing one normally buys a chocolate-chip cookie for - one of the best sweet snacks I know is a dried apricot (half, and really dry, not those whole, squashy Turkish ones) used as a shell to fill with chocolate chips. Chocolate chips on the half-shell.
Even before that, I was hungry for cookies!

Lilac - It is worth calling your phone company, even after the fact, to see if you can talk them into giving you a cheaper rate. They will sometimes do this before they issue you a bill. Nowadays the rates for international calls are truly mindboggling if you don't set up a special plan. If you do, both the plan and the call rate can be surprisingly good.
Yes, I speak from experience.
