I was late for work again today. My manager is getting use to this. I smiled a lot at him. and laughed

The girl called again today. She finally recieved the email i wrote about two weeks ago. Apparently I am not to forget about her, and that she still "loves me to peices." I don't believe her. She has weapons under that jacket

I sit alone and read. at the coffee shop. while my two outgoers sit with each other. I'm more comfortable this way. Boy forced to go to french school

Saturday is my mother's Unbirthday. Yes, I know, most days are, but... long story.

Since I believe in long posts, I'll tell you, though. Her birthday's right before Christmas, when everything's hectic, and it tends to get overwhelmed, so a few years ago she decided her birthday would be half a year off from now on. Works great. An early-summer birthday, and so on. This year, it was just before her chorus performance, so it got put off.

The present I wanted to get her isn't coming out till later than they said, so I got her something else. I still have to figure out the cake.

This reminds me of a movie my husband and I saw a few years ago... it was part of the Seattle film fest and it was on at midnight. I took a ziploc baggie full of cookies for us to eat. The film was French and was titled Baisez-Moi (F-Me, roughly translated). Turns out it was about two women screwing and killing their way around the country. As we left, I said to my husband, "I guess this wasn't really a cookie-eating kind of movie."

I'm not sure how well that story translates from real life to the forums. It seemed funnier in real life.

I'm eating graham crackers leftover from last night's smorgy (that's a s'more orgy, spelled out long-ways).

I have never been a big fan of s'mores. I love flaming marshmallows though.

I'm enjoying the first fruits of my batch of ginger lemonade. I used slightly more ginger, an extra lime and lemon, a bit more water... and forgot to put in more honey. The result lacks somewhat in sweetness, but it's not bad at all for all that. :)

The upside is that I have two full 1L bottles of it in the fridge. :D

Today I ate two peaches, some melon, and bits of pineapple. I also had iced coffee with ice cream. Oh yeah, and a few ham-and-cheese tortellinis, too.

Our forecast from yesterday to a week from Saturday was rain and thunderstorms.

I found out Lorelei's pediatrician is moving to Europe to be a spokesperson for API. We finally found one we liked, even though we had to go to another town, and she's leaving. I hope we like who they get in her place - if not, I don't know what we'll do.

I don't have enough to say to use 3RF as a journal. I only post once every couple of days. Go figure - in real life you can't shut me up...

The ginger lemonade turns out to be good after its day of mellowing, but it's definitely not quite sweetened enough. NTS: increased proportions of other ingredients = increased amount of honey...

Cocktail finger foods. There's something about warm, savoury-filled little pastries... Of course I have none of that on hand, no ingredients to make any, and the grocery store will be closed by the time I get there, now. <_<

In response to the question from Lilac last night: Yes, we got that big storm up here in Erie. It was insanity.

Today we deep roasted a turkey at work...it was DELICIOUS!!! And we also had macaroni salad, potato salad, chips, fruit, and soda. That was really a nice lunch, but then afterwards, none of us wanted to work...we just wanted to sleep.

My "pig boys" at work made THE BIGGEST mess of our breakroom while eating lunch though. I have never seen turkey end up all over the table and floor! This was just from "cutting" it, although it was a bit more like a massacre. I mean, there were actually shreds of turkey and the turkey skin all over the place! And napkins all balled up, drips of macaroni salad, and whatever else they got all over the place. And guess who cleaned all THAT up? ;) I swear, those boys... :P

Tonight I am going to see Fahrenheit 911.

Got back from "Fahrenheit 911"...it was a disturbing movie, but one that was done well I thought.

I was pretty much ok until I saw the U.S. men and women being wounded and screaming and all the bombs going off. Then I got to thinking too much about my brother and his fellow soldiers over in Iraq, and was reduced to full on body sobs...but I DID maintain relative quietness. I had to take off my glasses and I just balled there in my seat. The guy next to me leaned over and patted my shoulder for awile. That was nice of him.

Hope Lilac and her son feel better!!!

I took that R.E.M. song quiz.

Daysleeper, it says.

'Maybe if you could take a break from your erratic sleep habits, you'd realize that there are actual events taking place in your life. Wake up - things happen before dark too. And walking around half dazed all the time isn't doing anyone any good. Get a good night's sleep.'

That is, incidentally, one of my favorite songs by them.

I'm slowing down with sleepiness, and it's barely 9am... that's what comes of sleeping with the lights on and waking up at dawn.

So. Breakfast and coffee on the one hand, my bed on the other. My bed's closer, though, and I have a feeling this might be the determining factor... once the middle, staying online talking to him, has been removed from under me.

Dawn was bright and glorious, as usual, but now the sky's covered. I'm getting used to that.

FINALLY! i've got my interent back up. :yay:

yesterday as it was heavily pouring rain and storming i decided to go to goodwill. i ran to my car, getting plently soaked because i park it in the street. no more than 10 seconds after i got in and closed the door, i saw a flash outside of my window and then this horrible snap and loud bang. my car freakin shook. it scared a dirty word right from my dictionary, i know it must have!

it turned out to be a lightening strike right on the telephone poll that's no more than 5 feet from where i park my car. i went on to goodwill and when i returned home i was greeted with a non-working internet connection and my dad's computer would not even boot-up right. apparently it fried our dsl box that allowed us to connect to the net and it totally messed up my dad's computer. we finally got the net back up on my computer this morning after talking with the provider for 2 hours on the phone. ugh. i didn't realize i was that bad off when i don't have access to a computer.

We found a kitchen table and chairs that look very Haywood-Wakefield. We came home and talked about it and he went back to get it. He is also going to pick up Fahrenheit 911 tickets for tonight.

We probably should not be spending so much money, but this is the only the second piece of furniture we have bought since we were married ten years ago. So we should get it, right?

Today I felted two old skirts and one scarf that were 100% wool and had a few moth holes. They are in the dryer now and my brain is thinking of things to make out of them. Two were tartan, so maybe I can make Scottish creepy/cute toys.

I am still trying to convince my friends and family that we do not need to exchange Christmas presents.

To be honest (and an apology for my honesty in case any of my gift exchanging friends ever see this post)....

1. With the exception of three, my friends and family never get me anything I want, and it always just goes into a closet until enough time passes that I can donate it or garage sale it.

1.b. The other three specifically buy things that Brian tells them I want (items that can be found on my amazon wishlist) so I know what I am getting and I do the same for them, and we usually spend the same amount on each other, so we could just get the items we wanted instead and not play the game.

2. With all of my additional expenses and less income this year, I need to save the money.

It doesn't mean I don't enjoy the spirit of Christmas. i put up the tree, decorate, and have friends and family over, but the novelty of the gift giving has worn off.

It makes me sound bitter and cynical, but yes, I always had my Christmas shopping done by October, but I had put a lot of time and thought into what to get everyone, and then I'd spend time making all the wrapping pretty and adding all the shiney bows. Then I'd get gifts back from someone that just ran to Walmart on Christmas Eve and had thrown stuff into the cart.

it is better to give than receive is one
but more importantly to me is "it's the thought that counts" -- and to be honest, before I changed careers and had the money concern, I was trying to come up with ways to say, "No, don't get me anything" while I still got them something -- then add the 'budget crunch" and I'd like to eliminate it all together....

Hm...how long will I leave this rant up before I decide to delete it to save the unknowing who might stumble on it with a search of my name....

Oh, to answer Gwensmoms question...no...but i have made my mom's birthday present (it's in January)

My sentiments are with you about hospitals, having spent too many nights in them myself...

sometimes the weather is freaky beautiful during times like this.

Thanks.

I'd add a smiley but that guy looks a little drunk.

I'd have a beer with the sneer!

It's been a long day fighting over the uncharged phone

I am doing something really radical...I'm going to bed.

goodnight all.

I can't sleep, so I am up late online.

And internet banking is shut down, so I can't balance the check book.

Maybe I will go fold laundry and dust...

My cats made their first kill tonight - left the poor little dead creature for me. I couldn't even tell what it had been (baby mouse?). :(

My boyfriend is really getting on my nerves tonight.

I had pork BBQ with pickle relish for dinner. :P

This is my official comment to Sirius: I am flabbergasted and amused you feel this way. Find a new hobby.

Its not nice to mention "harvesting" to someone already as anxious as I am. You can say it was a joke, but I dont believe you.

*shakes head* i havent much to say at 5:50 AM, sorry.

It's almost two in the afternoon, I should get moving. I've got a kitchen to clean. Fortunately (although this only applies for the purposes of cleaning), my kitchen is very small. It's more of a walk-in closet, actually. And that's more than three facts right there. :P

:( I'm sorry to hear this, Helquin...

...What's Larrissa doing awake at an ungodly hour like 5:50am???

I saw the first glimmers of dawn this morning. The mosquito woke me up. But I'm bigger and better than bird food, so I caught it and was able to go back to sleep...

i had to pee and couldnt stay away from the computer.

i may have to move again, to my dads, 100 south of here, to stay on the living room couch.

i am trying to face this. the reason is my lack of employment and the stepdads lack of understanding.
