3. My wisdom teeth are coming in and the only thing keeping me from going insane is Motrin and I'm running out of it.

i have decided that the absolutely worst show on network television has got to be The Help. it's not even low brow humor. it lacks humor all together. a curse on my television for being on that channel yesterday in another room, forcing my lazy self to hear the absolute nothingness of this.
i've lived in this house longer than i've lived anywhere in my adult life...i feel the need to be gone. however, i've promised nan that i will stay here until she graduates from 8th grade unless i win the lottery, get married, or fired.
my dog jumped out of bed for a baby she dropped this morning. i heard her. i heard her whine to get back up. i pretended i didn't. the whine progressed to barking. i ignored it and pretended to be asleep. she JUMPED BACK UP! this may not be amazing to you, but to me, this is astounding. my bed is very high: the top of the mattress is just short of a yard from the floor. my dog has very short legs: 3 inches tops, and that's probably stretching it.

1. Shout out to Theresa - I'm thinking on growing my hair out again too. Like you, so I can put it up. When I had long hair, every other day I put it up and got to skip the whole washing/styling routine.
2. Shout-out to Tana - Tomorrow I'm going to Lowe's to buy painting supplies and a new oven for the kitchen. Yeee ha! Anyone want to come help me paint the kitchen?
3. I had a massage yesterday and all the ouchy muscles in my back and butt feel sooooooo much better. I'm going to try and wangle a referral to a massage therapist out of my midwife next week when I see her.

HelloMokona

Blegh! A metallic taste is by far the worst taste. It's just icky.
Gastritis, heartburn, or acid reflux can cause it, but so can a tooth abscess or lead poisoning... How long have you (or whomever) had it?
3 facts:
Three months ago my pet count was up to 4 cats, 2 gerbils, a dwarf hamster, a teddy bear hamster, lots 'o fish, and 3 ferrets. Now all I have is the 4 cats. And sometimes it still seems like a lot. And it is a small rented home.

It rained today which does not make for a good day of drag racing.
I scored a really cool second carseat (http://www.simpsonraceproducts.com/catalog/racefan/childseat.asp) for Megan to put in Hubby's truck from some friends, who have lots of money and like to buy all the cool stuff, because their daughter has grown out of it.
However since my car was packed with all the junk from the racetrack, we did not take it home so Hubby may or may not actually accept it.

OK, first of all (and not one of my three random facts) - I think this thread rocks... I've been reading it from the first post and had to stop after two hours, so I could be sure I'd remember to put my own entry in before I call it a night (starting to get drowsy in the wee hours).
So here goes...
1. I live like a hermit (I rarely allow anyone in my home, and even less frequently venture out into the real world other than to travel to/from work). This allows for a LOT of time to sit and think (and reminiscing about the events of my life before becoming a hermit). Which kinda leads to my next random fact...
2. I'm a sentimental packrat, so I keep everything of nostalgic value - Which is kinda how I stumbled into the world of nness. I became interested in art because my ex-wife was an art major. The thing is, I didn't develop the interest in making my own until years later when I stumbled across some old slides and pictures of her. That led to me rifling through my boxes and bins of all my glorious stuff and found some envelopes we had made together of interesting pictures in magazines. I hit a search engine to find out what art category/label that fell under and found this site.
3. I'm learning to speak Russian through self-study (language programs on CD). I chose Russian because I wanted to pick one that isn't typically listed when someone says they speak a second language (in the U.S. at least).
... ok, so the hermit thing leaves me a little "wordy" whenever it comes to interacting with others (even interacting in this sense).

2. That's right: one month. One mail time from Canada to the States and two domestic trips. This implies much about what is possible.
3. Although it is a very "easy" lmao that doesn't require much/any artistic inspiration. So that probably helps... plus the excellent people that have signed up for it... ok, I'm just really happy right now that something seems to be going well and I'm rambling. :D

Well, I got the lawn tractor fixed. I actually got a lot accomplished around here today and am pretty proud of myself.
However, I wonder how I'll be able to take care of this place when I'm old and decrepit. I hate to sell because I know that when (and if) I do, they'll just turn all this land into housing developments.
I hate all the developments going up around me! They are building these 500,000 dollar houses down the road...and here I am in this little old farm house.

Me, too. I HATE developers and I HATE people moving out into the country, destoying fields, woodland and beautiful old farmland. It's happening everywhere around here and it just depresses the hell out of me.
I think I'll let my farm get really decrepit, kind of like the one on Green Acres, and see how those people in the 500,000 dollar house like having me as a neighbor. (Well, not really a neighbor, but too close for comfort.)
I HATE THEM!

in third grade the school had this huge tree that would drop mountains of leaves in fall, and our little group (ack) would collect them to be rowdy in. i cant imagine now what kind of chemicals we exposed ourselves to
last spring i kidnapped a killdeer from a starbucks parking lot. i thought the little guy was without a nest and going to be hit by a car. after 10 phone calls to wildlife rehabilitators, turns out kill deers dont have nests, and the babies just run around following mom or dad since the first day the can stand. at night the parents sleep with them tucked under a wing. we drove the baby back and the mama and papa were screaming bloody murder from the corner of starfucks. left the little guy on the corner and waited for the sweet reunion. i was so sorry for tramatizing this bird. whew that was a long fact

- Larrissa: when I was a little kid, maybe three or four, I had a clown with a music mechanism; you turned the nose to wind it up.It was checkered in blue and autumn colours, and it was beautiful... I loved that clown. And one night, my father grabbed it by the feet to kill a cricket, and broke it. My parents bought me another one, but it was never the same... I feel your pain.

my birthday spanned the weekend- as I was worried Sunday would suck.
Friday I wanted steak, so we went to Outback and while we waited fortyfive minutes for a table we griped about the "atmosphere" restauraunts while I read a Quentin Tarantino article. I ended up getting pretty drunk.
Saturday I went with my Inspirational Art class to the Pixar Studios ( my teacher works there.) I was hoping it'd be awe inspiring- but... it wasn't. It was just- okay.
Then my BF picked me up and we went on a bike ride. Then we had pizza for dinner.
Sunday we went to Casa de fruta and sampled all manners of fruits and nuts and sweets. We bought a lb. of pistachios ( half reg/ half garlic flavored) and a lb of mixed nuts (avoided the fruits cause it's not spring yet). We devoured them then I came home.
So it was a nice weekend. It could have been better but... well, it was My Time so any sense of romanticism was killed. Nevertheless. Thanks for asking.

- I shouldn't be online. I only stopped by to answer PMs...
- I'm going to have to curtail my online presence. I've used up more than 80% of my time for the month, and there's still 15 days to go. :'(
- Well, I can always go back to using my roommate's high-speed thing, which crashes all the time... <_< Bleh.

My feet are swelling! They don't hurt, but its hard to get them in my shoes and they look funny.
I have to go home and paint after work. We are in Day 4 of the paintathon and we are determined to finish tonight. We only have trim left.

On teh otehr hand, teh meeting with the Career Counselor was a real uplifting thing. She said I had a great looking resume. Now it's just to get the porfolio and reel off the ground, ta!
Uhm. I think Laurasia takes great pictures.

I'd clean for you, but My idea of cleaning is usually making a clear path from the bedroom to the bathroom by pushing the crap in the way to one side like a snowplow.
However, I have been getting better. I wash my own clotehs and hang them. I even have a organization system!
when I use it anyway. I haven't really cleaned in teh past month, but that's only cause I'm home very little to do so. You'd think the place would STAY clean.

I PM'ed you :) so not to ruin it for anyone else.
I am very conflicted about whether or not to remove myself from a LMAO. I REALLY want to do it, but the host has done something that I feel is SO UNCOOL.
I am so inmotivated to do ANYTHING...even checking my e-mail is taxing :)
In the time it took me to write this siafu already replied to my PM :)

"So Uncool" you know we are just the type of nosy people to look at all of the objects you signed up for, check out all of the creators, and then research their recent activities....
maybe not "nosy" maybe obsessive....
or time wasters....

I'm paranoid that it is me.
1. I'm waiting for my boo to email me and open up another wonderous topic for discussion.
2. I fancy a game of tennis right now.
3. If I don't get to drive my car within the next two weeks I'm going to pull my hair out.

It's not you don't worry :).
The situation that has come up was brought to the attention of all the participants via e-mail by another participant.
The 'idea' behind the situation isn't uncool as it is her choice to run it that way, it was her treatment of said participant.
The slighted participant did not want to start negative feelings towards the host only make us aware of the situation, so maybe I should have not even mentioned it in the first place. Bad Tana!! :spank:
