I received a saddening e-mail from my bestest friend since 8th grade. (see my thread in "topics that don't seem to fit anywhere else" if you want to know about it, maybe you can help.)

I am drinking a Coors Light...and I rarely drink.

Took Megan to the mall today to get 2nd b-day/easter photo's done and it was a huge disaster.

I think I have seasonal affection disorder.

All beauty shops, in my opinion, are full of fake people! I hate going to them. I suppose that can explain for my lack of a "hairstyle".

I think that the world is full of fake people. Any time I meet someone who I think is "true"...I feel like celebrating.

That's why I come here all the time. Everybody here is who they are and I love you guys for it!

sometimes I post these facts in between the banter of others

I think that pretty much sums up my tendency to hide my true self between the cracks

I am really battling myself lately and I don't know which part of me is winning...

as far as posing on these threads (I think it was OHPossum who brought this up on the things you've always wondered about other nnessers thread), I can only say that in a virtual world it is easy to spin into only one part of yourself -- I don't know if not showing the rest of yourself constitutes deception or not. We must, all of us, be far more complicated than we are revealing ourselves to be here...

Oh, I do have the blues lately...

and I'm going toward someone who may or may not welcome me...

1. Absolutely! I for one, am a bundle of complication so I imagine I'm not the only one. I don't think I'm in any way fake online, I am just more talkative than I would be if we were all to meet face to face. So basically you all see the more friendly side of me, but I try not to delve to deep into the other side of myself, the gloomy and bashful side, when I'm here.

2. I'm having Cherry Coke for breakfast. Yum.

3. I want to meet an N'ness person in real life so I can watch them create things. I want to SEE someone creating an ATC or an altered book or a postcard. I am in awe of all of the amazing things that N'ness people create, but I always wonder exactly how they went about making their art. I wonder if anyone would mind if I just sat there and stared over their shoulder?

Oh, yes...me too. I am actually kind of shy "in real life." I think that since we're online, we can be more open with each other. And we can hide our gloominess, sadness, fears....

Like you, Sarahkate...I don't feel that I'm being fake online...but sometimes I can appear somewhat cheerful when actually I might be on the verge of tears or ready to pull my hair out with frustration.

I would love to meet every one of you, though...

Lots o' facts and a question:

Larrissa, your cat's sister is hissing because the cat that has been to the vet doesn't smell right anymore and she doesn't recognize him. Give it a day or two.

I got a gigantic paycheck today. Since Gwensdad is not working he has taken over the child care so I can work more. I will get another big paycheck before he goes back to work and I cut down to part time again. Woo hoo I'm in the $$$$.

I am going to sneak off and go to a movie this afternoon while Gwensdad thinks I am at work. I know it is bad but I am doing it anyway. This was my supervisors idea and she said she would cover for me if she has to.

should I see The Ladykillers or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind?

-i spent yesterday on a trip from my house to raleigh for a funeral and then back. 199 miles there, 197 back (not sure how on that either). 4 hours there, 2 hours and 45 minutes back. full of unequal times/distances.

-i saw my step aunts and uncles yesterday and it was fun. i hadn't seen my step uncle richie in over 15 years.

-my step grandma looked nothing like herself in her coffin and it was sad. i couldn't stay in the room. my grandpa had the same problem. it broke my heart when he said to the family "things happen, but if any of you can walk on water or raise her then please do it" then started sobbing.

Hm. I like to think that I'm way simpler here than anywhere else. I mean- hm. How to explain...
I guess I'm like a Tree, with branches extending outward into the world and otehr things. But the pieces you all see are the canopy- all these exposed, cheery, lively living endings of my self that are completely unconnected until one gets lower into the tree. Not until you get deeper into the tree do you see the bare trunks and branches that have never been exposed to light, and the source of the lively points of me.
Wo. Okay I need something more chipper.

Oh! The train! Going on teh train again! Yaay!

Uhm... and I'm almost done with my BF's bro's Lady's baby present. I need to finish painting it.

2. I just realized how disgusting my hands are. My skin is so pale that you can clearly make out my veins from my wrists all the way through my palms and up into my fingers. Sometimes you can even make them out through the top side of my hand too. My skin is practically clear. Ugh.

I cant wait to get my son's Easter basket all set up. He doesnt get a lot of candy. I (I mean, "The Easter Bunny") fills the basket up with exotic fruit, books, seeds, bulbs and few other little trinkets. Then the "Easter Bunny" hides plastic eggs around the house that tells clues about where his "big" presents are hidden! It's so much fun watching him search and seeing his little look of delight!!!!

His big presents are School Of Rock DVD, tickets to an upcoming Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game and a new Gamecube game.

I am so addicted to the internet, reading peoples blogs, the forums, checking out links that I have to make bargains with myself. Unload the dishwasher and you can get on the computer, change the sheets etc...

I am pretty much the same on the internet as IRL but only after my shyness has worn off and I am more comfortable with someone.

I was just yelling "stop stop stop!" at my washing machine, it does this thing every so many loads where it will not stop filling until it gets right to the top so soapy water spills out and leaks out from under the machine. The last time it happened the dog got blamed for peeing in the rug in the laundry room.

A monkey would be fantastic. I'm horrible at drawing animals is my problem I guess. Maybe a pig... those seem simple enough.

While trying to get myself into insane asylum mode this morning to make the atcs I visited many cool sites. I want to visit some abandoned mental hospitals now. They are hauntingly beautiful.

Working mental hospitals are a different story. I get very anxious inside of those.

lol edited to say that my mom is bi polar so I've visited many mental hospitals because of that, not for me personally.

3. Speaking of animals, this reminds me of when I found out what veal was. I had eaten it several times before. I think I probably cried when I found out (I was probably 10 or 11 at the time). I think that's when I realized I didn't really like eating meat very much.

Three facts about Death_or_Aldona:

She has bad news and good news.

The bad news is that her father in law had a tumor removed from his lung and has been in the hospital for over a month with complications. Her grandmother who has breast cancer had a heart attack. Her kitty has been sick and ran up a big vet bill.

The good news is that they are moving away from the town she hates and will stay with her MIL for a month where she will be online! Maybe even before May.

1. Me too! I have been meaning to send her an RAoK package for a loooooong time but I just haven't yet. She will be back online by the time I send it :P

2. I just found out that my little sister was hired for her first job ever last night! Wahooo. She will be a cashier at a grocery store, the same grocery store where I got MY first job.

3. I had a little mini-nervousness disaster. I just "finished" my puzzle for Cindi's Puzzle Gram Mix-Up (http://nervousness.org/lmao/index.cgi?id=13839) the other day. I had been practicing what I would do on junk puzzle pieces previously and finally decided what I wanted to do to decorate the blank pieces for the LMAO. So I wasn't really happy with the results because I used nail polish and tape transfers of text and then another layer of nail polish so you could still see the text through the polish. I guess it looked ok, so I planned on mailing it yesterday, but then I thought - no this is too boring, I need to do something else with it- so stupid me tries to draw stars on it with a big black marker, they looked horrible so I thought maybe if I covered it with another coat of nail polish they would look a little better, well even though the ink seemed dry it smudged as I put the polish on. Ugh. So then I freaked because I have to have it postmarked by tomorrow and I ruined all of the puzzle pieces. So I went to Michael's last night to see if I could find the same blank puzzle pieces for sale (because I knew that's where Cindi said she bought them). We looked all over the store and just after I gave up thinking I would never find them, and we were looking for something else to use to cover my mistakes we found the blanks afterall! They appeared to be the exact same thing. So I bought them and went home all happy. So I set up all of my art supplies, full of ideas, and I start painting away on the new pieces. Then I look at them more carefully and realize that the new blank pieces are cut just slightly different than the ones Cindi sent out. They were definitely the same brand and the pieces were all shaped basically the same, but some were cut at slightly different angles so they wouldn't have been interchangeable with other people's pieces which was the whole point of the LMAO (we will all get one piece of everyone else's puzzle plus one of our own back) ....so.... then I was screwed and it was already like 10:00 PM. I ended up using a big black marker and coloring over my original screwed up pieces, then I used some weird milky markers and some more nail polish. The end results were kind of....strange....but passable I guess. So...yeah...that was my adventure in puzzle making.

Why did I post this in 3 random facts? That was about 100 facts jumbled into one post. But....I think I maybe I do win for longest 3RF post EVER!!!!!

I was at the park once and there was a young Redtail Hawk trying to catch a Squirrel, but the Squirrel was to quick and crafty for him. He would dive down and the Squirrel would jump or run and he'd act as if he was afraid of it. I was facinated to see if he ever succeded, but was horrified of actually seeing him kill it. :o

I called my hubby to see if he was actually serious when he said he didn't want to have meat for dinner tonight, because it is not as if we have been good this year and not eaten meat any other friday night during lent. He said yes so I suggested pasta. He said "NO! PIZZA!"

I'M not Catholic so I am going to order that new 4 for all from pizza hut and get me my own little meat lovers pizza. ;)

Ha- weird! I was going to comment about lent and worried if I would look like a psycho, but now that Tanagee has, I'm not psycho!

anyway. That wasn't a fact.

THE FACTS!

Not only have I not eaten meat every friday since lent started, there's a tradition among my BF's family that from Passover on, no meat will be consumed. So I haven't been eating meat since Wednesday.

Hm- my BF and I have made a new drink- we're not sure what to call it. I like calling it a Dirty Smoothie, he want's to call it Rudy's Rocket Sauce. Mind you we were drunk when we were coming up with names. We weren't drunk when we made it so it DOES taste good.

Okay- here it is, makes two large servings.

two servings of vanilla ice cream (we used sugar free!)
1 cup ice
1 cup milk
three shots Kahlua
two shots Amaretto
one shot Jagermeister
one shot butterscotch schnapps
One shot irish cream

blend in blender. texture should be fluffy and rich. Add milk or Ice cream to taste.
if you wanna get smashed FAST, have two shots of jager beforehand and sip drink in jacuzzi.

Three Answers:

Fluid behaviour is my two-word synopsis for the course that I have a final in on Monday. It's stuff with pressure and different types of flow and friction. It bends my brain.

The Boy is at his house, studying for his vitally important math final. We know better than to study in the same place. We've got movie plans later, if we're both done studying. So we'll both be done studying by nine.

Deer does taste a bit stronger than beef, but I grew up on it and rather like it. Plus, it's antibiotic and hormone free, and definitly free-range meat. Oh, and free. I like free. It's my favorite price.

i must look like a bum today. the girl in fashion bug was reluctant to show me a suit that i was asking about because she said it was too expensive. she was like, oh, this grey one is cheaper. and i said, no. grey is not hardass enough. must be black. weird. anyway, if i buy both pieces, i get 50% of the bottoms and $10 off the total. not so bad.

the small bus was taking me around and around and around, so i'm kind of bus queasy. but i'm still trying to get to church tonight. there is some kind of solemn pre-easter thing that i've never tried before. roll down to the description of Good Friday (http://www.hcumc.org/main.shtml) if you want to read about Tennebrae.

I read The Outsiders at least once a year between the ages of 11 and 18 and considered it my favorite book for a long time.

Gwen kept me up the whole freakin night! I haven't slept at all.

She couldn't help it. She is very congested and has a urinary tract infection.

I can test for a UTI at home now with these snazzy test strips. I just pressed it into her wet diaper and it turned purple.

I hope her Dr. will just call in some antibiotics instead of making her come in.

That is Gwensdads problem because I am going to sleep as soon as he gets back from walking his dog.

When I get this tired I feel like this: :yell: :spank:

Then after a few hours of sleep I will feel more like this

I'd love to be in a room with some of the people that filed the challenges. That would be a great debate.

Funny cause I don't remember what a wrinkle in time was about either. Did't the characters have weird names and lived under ground or something? I have to go do a search cause it will drive me nuts.

ah yes coming back to me now. What am I thinking of then? It was a similar science fiction type book I read around the same time. There were groups of people that lived above ground and below ground and they had weird names kinda like brave new world. Help!

I've read maybe a dozen of the books (counting HP as one) on the most-challenged list. Not bad for someone who spent her teens in a French-speaking area with rather limited access to books in English. To be fair, some of those I read translated. Seeing Where's Waldo? - my favourite lap desk (I used to study sitting cross-legged on my bed, or the floor, with a large flat book on my lap as a desk - and still draw or write that way) because it was larger than the average comic book or binder - on the list had me roflmao.

Dinner took about two hours to prepare - and less than 20 minutes to eat. Frustrating. Was good, though. Haven't done the dishes yet, and I think I'll leave them for tomorrow.

My headache came back. Eating didn't make it go away. Had to take another painkiller. <_<

 Why? For the unwed pregnancy and attendant circumstances or because it's all so abstruse and hard to read? (Not my favorite Faulkner, though my favorites are even abstruser and harder to read.)

People will object to anything.

exempli gratia: A few days ago I was in Berkeley wandering around in the background at a bookstore as an author's reading was winding up. It was a political book, and they finished with a call to everyone to do what they could to defeat Bush, et cetera. Afterwards, the first question/comment from the audience was: "Thank you for your message, but you should really eliminate from your vocabulary the phrase 'To fall on deaf ears' because the hearing impaired community is very important within the Progressive movement, and that phase is quite hurtful."

I love Berkeley. And I love when people live up to stereotype.

maybe you should plan a trip out west to view these, they might be really good this year because there is supposed to be no moonlight. i'm looking forward to them too!

and then there's these:

LYRIDS (maximum April 22, ~4hUT [April 21, 9pm PDT])
The Lyrids are active from April 16-25, but only qualify as a major shower for about a day centered around their maximum. While the peak is predicted for the early evening of April 21, watches should probably begin around midnight when the Moon has set and the radiant is higher. 2. sophie's strep has kept us homebound all week so easter goodies consisted of jelly beans that came weeks ago in a package from the grandparents, sunspire chocolate drops (like m&ms but with natural dyes instead of over-the-moon ones), and a fluffly orange and yellow duck i bought at the flea market a couple of weeks ago then decided that the bill creeped me out so i hid it in the attic and thought i'd have time to replace it. alas.

3. i really wanted to have an easter egg hunt today but no one was up for it.

i've listened to my new cat stevens album three times straight so far today.

i've just attempted to make some blueberry muffins for the first time ever. i guess i'll see if they turned out alright in a few minutes.

i'm planning on doing something very risky tonight, something dangerous and exciting. i'm ready for it!

oh well, the muffins did not come out very nice.

they are all burnt on the bottom.

and the tops that look pretty don't taste very good at all.

i still love some music from when i was 15 and this makes me a little embarrassed, but i love this music

when someone i know pays too much for something, it upsets me just like any other waste upsets me

i have lied to two people about my pending move so that its easier on them. i usually never knowingly lie.

it was a dumb day to skip. i don't feel guilty, but i feel like i missed out.

I'm beginning to dread going to church. I'm questioning my belief.

Today I felt as if the preacher KNEW that I was feeling doubt...

There's a woman who goes to my church who I do not like. She's a nebbish gossip and she must have just found out about my kidney transplant (which I had in Jan. 03). She cornered me while the kids were hunting Easter eggs and acted all sympathetic and concerned...all the while fishing for details...asking how I could work after such a thing...am I in a relationship...and oh, so much more bullshit!

i'm speaking of the awesome band who sings 'under the milky way' of course.

1. My brother is making Easter dinner and I am invited. He is cooking ham, and grilling steak and shrimp. Good gracious, thats a lota meat.

2. I am going to break my "nothing under the bed rule" and start keeping art supplies there. *sigh* My rule with clothes is that if it doesn't fit in my closet or dresser I don't need it. Too bad I can't hold myself to that rule with art and craft supplies.

3. I don't want to go to work tomorrow. <_<

I question my belief all the time. But my church is a place you can do that.

Lilac, dont tell that gossipy b**** anything. Just give vague evasive answers. It will drive her crazy. Or just tell her to back off because its none of her business!

There is a girl from my high school class that keeps telling my mom to have me call her because she is a special ed teacher and can "help" me. I'm not calling her because she was and is still a nosy gossip and all she wants is information. Thank goodness my sister and I have drilled it into our mothers head that she may NOT give out our phone numbers!

Thanks Gwensmom! I feel better knowing I'm not the only one questioning my religion.

And thank you for knowing how I feel about that gossipy b*tch!

Sometimes I hate people in my community!

1. I'm home from Easter supper.

2. It was good. Plus, the Boy's Grandma gave me a little baggie of high quality chocolate.

3. I think he was concerned I'd be freaked out by his "weird" family. Wait til he meets mine...

- I woke at nine, went back to sleep, and woke again at eleven.

- It's now noon, and I haven't had c0ffee yet.

- After breakfast, I'm going to do the dishes (yes, I actually believe that) and then got out for a walk.

i have a bad head cold and my ears are plugged up

my head hurts if i move it too suddenly

it's been like this for 3 days, and I haven't had any c0ffee bc I haven't felt like it and so I am considering this God's way of getting me off the stuff pre-pregnancy.

My books on Amazon are selling well! I listed 16 items on Thurs, have shipped one already and have 4 more ready to go out tomorrow. Whoever it was that gave the advice to always underbid the lowest price by a penny was right. Was that you Sarakate?

1. Wasn't me! Though I wish I could take credit for giving such good advice! :)

2. I'm in a sleuth-like mood today, so I tracked down the giver of good advice and it turns out it was yardenxanthe in the ebay or amazon thread (http://nervousness.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=8680&hl=amazon)!

3. Off I go to read more 3RF posted since Friday when I last signed onto N'ness. I had a busy weekend so I diddn't get a chance to sign on at all on Saturday or Sunday.

1. I'm all caught up on 3RF now. :)

2. I must change my avatar again.

3. My boyfriend is seriously talking about learning to ride his dad's motorcycle. This scares me because I think he will really end up hurting himself. Cory is one of those guys who thinks he is invincible, so he will no doubt drive to fast and try to do stupid stunts if he gets a chance to ride a motorcycle. <_<

I can't stop creating ATCs...I'm addicted to making them!

I boycotted Easter dinner after having a super bad day and getting cussed out by my oldest sister

I think my life might be in a downward spiral, but I'm PMS, so I'm sure it's hormonal

1. I overslept by ninety minutes because my alarm got set on pm instead of am.

2. Fortunately, I don't have to be anywhere until 2.

3. I should get my butt in gear and study for a couple hours for my exam this afternoon.
