a cone sounds like a good idea.

i was supposed to meet a friend for lunch, but he came while i was at the bank. now i feel funny about calling him, but i suppose i will.

i had a brownie frappucino and thought it was pretty gross. i was like, oh, um, someone put brownie chunks in my coffee. i am wondering what would have happened if i had tasted it and taken it back to the counter and said, i don't like this one. may i have another, please?

1. It is a gorgeous day, so I went and sat on the grass in the park and thought some things out and wrote them down.

2. It is a gorgeous day, so I am wearing a skirt. I'm really not a skirt person, but it felt like a skirt day today.

3. It is a gorgeous day, so I opened my window to let in some fresh air.

1: ER last night.. not the usual... harrison may have a 'toddler fracture' in his right leg.... <sigh> was off and on yesterday touchy about his leg... then it because ON and we had to take him in....

2: xrays didn't show anything, but the pediatrician said that unless it's at the right angle, it may not show because it is so hairline.... and they don't cast it anyhow, so he's 'treating' it as if it is a fracture... tylenol PRN for pain... ibuprophen PRN for swelling.. which there isn't any... swelling that is....

3: i am having a BBQ tonight!!! it's gorgeous out and my sister and her son are coming out for supper and better be bringing me some ZUCCHINI!!! i am, after all, cooking meat fo rher.... <_< and my hubby too, i guess.... carnivores.... ;)

4: i will, however, eat some meat too... if i have to cook it, i am certainly going to eat it.... :P though i could do without meat quite easily and happily... :)

1: i have no clue how harrison could have hurt his leg... he twisted it about two weeks ago, under the tv stand.. but the dr. said noe, that couldn't have done it....

2: he said that if he runs a fever, he has to come back in because it might not be a fracture at all, but a bone infection... his hips are flexing and rotating fine, which is good, because he was concerned about a hip infection because of the flu we had the other week...

3: but it's all good i think... no fever....

4: that's all for today... gotta go outside and see julian's ladybug... he's bugging me to come out... no pun intended....

Yuck! What are they thinking? It's coffee, people, not ice cream! Although I'm a big fan of mochas and hazelnut lattes, so maybe I am being hypocritical...

The day is almost over and it has been productive.

I'm sorry that Harrison has a new reason to visit the ER. :(

1 i used to enjoy all the 'brownie mochaccino' type of sweet fancyass coffees...

2 i don't now, they're just sweet and yucky.

3 i loooooooove a good espresso ice cream, don't get me wrong, but anything more mucked about with than a *good* mochaccino is just blech. it just isn't "coffee" anymore.

Hey! You know that zine that I had to finish by March 31st (maybe not)? Well, I just finished the last layout tonight! Yeehaw!

Now, all I have to do it have color copies made and add them to my friends' contributions that were mailed to me and use my binding machine at work to bind them...the copies my friends have sent look like real magazine pages...WOW

So, hopefully, now that this is over, I will finally have time to hang out again

Oh, and I also had my boy in from Europe over the past 2 weeks...although, I'm not sure we're talking anymore...hmmm...strange...very strange

The ex-boss told me it was for financial reasons - the school can't pay my salary plus the required overtime, so she wants to get an intern - but then she started to personally attack me, my workstyle, my self-image... She's just full of it. She doesn't want an assistant, she wants a slave. Once I get the money she owes me, I will take pleasure in telling her that to her face. And if she tries to screw me over again, I'll take her to court. I have grounds for it.

Um. That was a bit of a rant. Sorry 'bout that...

- This I believe will turn out for the best. I have to find a job, and I would much rather be doing this on my own terms, but it's forcing me to consider options. ALL of them. And casts them in a very different light, too.

- This board is waaaaaay too quiet. Five hours since the last post in this thread??? :o  Sleepyheads... :P

- I'm still jetlagged. It's strange for me to be outside at 9:30 am on a Sunday - in terms both of habit and of just plain weirdness. I've been awake since quarter to seven. This makes for long, very long days...

I love to laugh...sometimes, after I really guffaw, it feels weird because I try and remember the last time I really, really laughed and sometimes I can't

My good friend (Who's also the other sped. teacher in my school...we share a classroom) and our 2 assistants are all easy laughers...they laugh at just the cute things that the others say...I don't laugh easily like that so I feel weird when I just smile ( I just don't find a lot of things funny...maybe endearing or nice, but not funny)

I forgot to exercise this morning because I was so eager to get to the po before work and now my neck will hurt all day :'( But my packages are on their way!

Gwensdad will find out today whether or not he got the job he interviewed for last week.

The decluttering has all but screeched to a halt. Should I keep or throw away the newspaper from the day after the 9/11 tragedy?

The people across the street are moving. Maybe some friendly people will move in.

I have to go to a new doctor for a physical tomorrow *shudder*

I still have not mananged to get my books listed for sale on Amazon or any of my other junk on ebay. If Gwensdad goes back to work I will be home more so I will have time.

My best friend of 20+ years stopped over yesterday to see the new bunny. She went out and bought one for herself as soon as she left! I find it amusing that after all these years, she's still copying me!

I really wish I could let the bunny hop around in the house and litter train it...but I'm afraid that my monster dogs will search and destroy. As it is, we have it in a cage and let it out several times a day (when the dogs are locked in another room). I just wish they could all get along!

I also wish I could be working from home today. I'm always looking over my shoulder when I'm on the internet here at the office!

-1- I hate Pepsi anyway, but if I did like it, I would boycott them for having "patriotic" cans, not for leaving out "under God." By the way, I don't think it should be considered patriotic to use the pledge of allegiance in advertising. To me, patriotism only counts when you are actually doing something that benefits your nation.

Yay! Hi Heather!

1. I'm in a quiet mood today.

2. That's mostly because I'm all stressing out over school. I thought I knew what I wanted to major in and I thought I would be taking classes online through SUNY. I really need to fill out my financial aid forms soon, like this week because I have been putting it off, but now I'm thinking maybe I should attend a local college in person and major in something similar or maybe something completely different.

3. Going to school online will be easier for me because I can do the classwork whenever I want and I'm shy so I don't have to deal with the stress of meeting new people in person, but if I go in person I will be forced to meet new people which is probably a good thing seeing that I can count the number of friends I have (not counting all of you people of course ;)) on one hand. *sigh*

- Once again the dread dinner dilemma rolls around, and I'm only marginally more motivated than I was yesterday. There's still just the one of me here to enjoy whatever I fix myself to eat...

- I am, however, determined not to fall asleep at a ridiculous hour like yesterday, so that I don't wake up at three in the morning and then have nightmares.

- I think I scared my ex-boss into thinking I might take her to court and win. She's offering me a surprisingly good deal, provided I sign a form covering her against it. I think I may have also shamed her into it, but I wouldn't presume that much humanity in her. After all, she was raised by the monkeys, even if she's American.

2: julian just came running into the computer room telling me all about a butterfly that is in the kitchen (he's supposed to be sitting and eating his lunch... <_< then a minute later he came running back out here crying, telling me it's a bumblebee and it's flying around the kitchen trying to get him... so i grabbed my can of raid and fly swatter and went to the kitchen.... it was just a fly- but i killed it anyhow........ i explained to him the difference and told him that he doesn' t have to be scared of bumblebees, but has to leave them alone.....

My original plan for Vegas was to take Megan swimming and spend time by the pool, walk around and look at the stuff on the Strip, and go to the racetrack one day w/ hubby...but the rain killed all that.

When I was going back through the pages of posts to get back to where it was when I left and just reading the first line in the first post of the page was very funny.

I am very irritable today.

I finally broke down and spent the $50 on the pee sticks for my fertility monitor because I am tired of "counting the days" and not getting PG yet.

tanagee
04-05-2004, 03:24 PM
I used said monitor to 'get' Megan. It cost $200, which is cheap compared to other means of conception.

I loaned it to some friends on Super Bowl Sunday when I was 8 months PG w/ Megan and they were not successful so they gave it back to me THIS Super Bowl Sunday 2 years later.

I think it is kinda wierd to tell people you are trying to concieve, because you are essentially telling people you are going to be having a lot of sex. But since I am a loner and too shy to make friends IRL Y'all ARE my only friends and since you can't actualy SEE me I can't be embarrassed.

Ah. Boys aren't allowed to look at Porn when they have girls. That's a RULE. They need to make a decision there.

Another Rule is- if you start to say something and then say nevermind- you've broken the RULE, and you have to say what you were going to say. I'm not sure what exactly the Rule is, but it save you and your loved ones from Nagging "Tell Me" moments.

And the best rule- If you open food in front of company, Offer some first before you take some yourself. You don't know if they're starving. And if you can't share- eat it away from people.

I also like moving. I'm a nomad at heart.

2. Me too. I love moving. I really would like to move right now, out of state.

3. I think I decided what to do about my college dilema. I'm just going to take classes online for at least 1 semester and if I decide I don't like it then I will apply to one of the local SUNYs and go in person. After being out of college for 5 years school seems exciting, yet terrifying.

Someone just "dumpster dived" my trash. I'm racking my brain trying to figure what they could have found so interesting. I hardly throw anything out. It's going to drive me insane.

I've decided to start collecting black and white photos. I've got 3 so far. They look so lonely on my wall.

It's windy again today and cold. Where oh where is spring?

I know! I was out of school for awhile so I eased back in with a semester online too. It helped a lot because I became so frustrated with the lack of class discussion that my anxiousness for debate quickly out weighed my fear of re-entering the classroom. My advice... take boring class requirements like math or college composition. Save the fun stuff for in-person if you can.

My mom is seriously weird.

2. I don't even know what I'm doing for Easter this year. I kind of hate holidays because they are always weird and stressful and confusing with my family. Sometimes I just wish I had a "normal" holiday loving family.

3. My family is by no means normal. Maybe I should write a book about my family. Though it would probably just turn into a "woe is me" thing and I don't want that.

Last night my hubby showed me a really disturbing e-mail he received and it is still bothering me. I REALLY hope it was fake. He said "you wanna see something gross?" And I am all for gross, but it was so unsettling.

Don't we all, honey, don't we all. I don't think there is such a thing!

Random Facts about the Maniez Dysfunctional Easter:
1. My husband has to work on Easter. I decided I'd like to go have brunch with my family, so called mom. I figured if I went up for brunch, then I can come home and have dinner with Jonny when he gets home from work.

2. My sister wanted to go to my parents' house and have her boyfriend (a chef) cook lamb. Because my mother doesn't want my sister's boyfriend cooking at her house (for some inexplicable reason that she could not articulate to me), she told my sis that she would rather we all go to a restaurant. So I cannot fix brunch at my parents' house because then Michelle would wonder why her boyfriend cannot make lamb at their house as well.

3. So now we are doing what no one wants to do at the time that no one wants to do it. "Brunch" at 1 PM. My parents will probably bicker and my sister and her boyfriend will probably leave early and I'll have to rush home when it's all over.

1. I like having orphan holidays when I can get away with it and inviting over friends instead of relatives.

2. Although at Thanksgiving we had both families and some friends and it was a good mix. Everyone had to behave because they were with strangers. ;)

I started my period a little bit ago here at work. Ick. No wonder I've been feeling yucky all day!

And yet, at the same time, it never ceases to amaze me how my body changes at this time of the month...how I become more cranky, tire more eassily...and strangly enough...get more male attention.

Do you think men can sense when a woman is ovulating or on her period?

It's not me, although I do keep seeing stuff I want to send you :)

My hubby STILL has not mentioned my hair, to me it looks really different, but maybe to the rest of the world it looks the same. **shrug**

I concur with Curlita about daylight savings time: it is messing with Megan's sleep. She did not get to bed until 11 last night because she took a nap from 2-6, so she did not get up this morning until 10:30.

I used to think daylight savings time was so that farmers had more daylight hours in which to tend to their crops, but this weekend I learned it was started during WW1 to conserve electricity.

nymphette- You're here, I can ask you- did you ever get those booksfor the sale? I sent them a while back. Also- the Harrison pages are done they just need mailing. It was okay if I cropped the pictures, yes? Cause I did. *gulp*

I do also want to name a Boy Jason. I've always loved that name, but have a good friend named Jason, and that may be plain old WEIRD now. I also like the name Emily- but that's also the name of a brand of clothing I very much like.

Tana, it is usually toasty here until the end of October or so, and then it starts getting cold and nasty in November.

A friend of Jonny's was supposed to go out for a "late drink" with us last night, so we stayed up waiting for him to call until 11:30 PM. We usually go to bed at 9:30. So I am tired.

I've been trying to clean out the upstairs office for my new assistant, who starts tomorrow. I haven't gotten very far. She may have to work in the old office for a week until I get pulled together.

My future sons name has been chosen for 37 years...James Joseph after his daddy.

If I have another girl the list is endless...the top choices are Zoe, Chloe, or Molly. I really like Molly, but my SIL named their dog that and I wouldn't want her to think she was named after the dog should the dog live long enough.

I feel bad for those people that were named things like Dorcas, Gay or Gaylord.

When I was in high school me & this guy used to torment a girl who was a born again Christian by whispering things like "evolution" & "darwin" behind her as we walked by.

I prefer the ampersand (&) to the word 'and'.

My mom always told me to "walk like you have a purpose in life" meaning don't meander and lollygag. It is because of that I hate crowds and get really antsy at theme parks.

Woo hoo I have just sold my first thing over the internet! It was a book I listed on Amazon.com and I am now about $3.00 richer.

Next, I need to figure out ebay and I am scared of it.

So, I was sitting here and I heard a slurping noise...I look over and my dog is licking the plates in the open dishwasher. (dirty plates)

My hubby took Megan with him to check his PO box and when they got back I was giving her a bath, she kept saying "ice creeem" and "ice creeem in car". I just kept saying "what about ice cream?" and "there is no ice cream in the car". Next thing I know my hubby is sneaking in the house with ice cream.

My aloe vera plant outside my gate is getting it's first flower stalk since we've moved here and I am afraid some punk kid is going to break it off.

I'm taking a series of photos to document the occasion.

I was afraid that the flowers were a once in a lifetime thing like a Yucca, but one of the websites I consulted said it's a once a year thing.

Bonus fact: I used to have an Aloe plant named "Vera" that I bought at the grocery store and I had it sitting on the edge of my bathtub at my mom's...it was the only casualty of the 94 Northridge Earthquake.
I then replaced it with another grocery store Aloe Vera named "Vera Two" that I came home to find had exploded (all the leaves fell off in one fell swoop) due to lack of sunshine in my Hollywood apartment.

1. Funny, she and I were just yesterday discussing the possibilities of bribing or compelling the cartographers to do something about those pesky geographical features.

2. We figured if we could at least smash France and California into the same time zone it would be an improvement.

3. Then we'd just have a few hundred miles left to cover, North-South, and could meet halfway, somewhere in central Oregon/the south of France (which at this point would be the same place). You cruise up into the Cascade range, and come down the other side of the Pyrenees.
