1. Today I ran into someone who interviewed me for a job and didn't hire me. It was a bit awkward.
2. I wanted to say something terribly clever and winning that would make her sorry she didn't hire me, but instead I just smiled and mumbled some sort of small talk.
3. After the encounter she literally ran away. Maybe she thought I would make a scene and demand to know why I wasn't offered a job. I dunno. Why would she run?

1. I need to get myself a ride to church to be there in 45 minutes or less.
2. It's only a five minute drive, and there are three or four possibilities.
3. I'll probably end up getting the (Ex)Boy's best friend (Tank) to drive me. The best part of this whole fiasco, really, is that Tank and I are much better friends.

My son was sick last night and threw up all over his bed, his bedroom floor and in the upstairs hall.

-my head has been hurting most of the day but it is feeling (slightly) better now. it wasn't a hunger headache because i've been eating all day. maybe it was the medicine i took 3 hours ago that helped.
-i got picked up from krystal's house by my parents tonight in their new car. they got a new bmw and it's ok. nothing too great. they had to stop by and show it off and it was fun. i drove it down the street and it drives smooth. it's alright though.
-i have mid-terms starting next week and i have a feeling they won't be THAT bad. i just have to nail at least a c for world civ(yawn..) and a c in intro to psych(double yawn...). pysch bores me to death.

2. i've gone to bed early, slept fine and still taken a nap both yesterday and today.

some idiot bashed Rudy's GTI in the front quarter panel. And cause the guy that hit him didn't have a stop sign, Rudy's insurance doesn't cover it- he's going to have to dump some major cash to fix it.
I didn't freak out too bad- he's fine and teh car's driveable, but most of all, I'm used to his luck. This kind of stuff happens to him all the time.
I like to see the academy awards- good costume designs are in there- and besides, lord of the rings!

1. I think I'm in a transition friends-wise. I can see myself loosing touch with people that used to be important to me, relying on people I didn't used to even talk to, and becoming annoyed with people that I used to admire.
2. It probably really means that I'm changing, rather than they are, although in some cases, it's probably both.
3. I've thought about starting a blog... but I haven't quite decided I want other people reading my diary, and if it's just for me, I'll stick to ink.

Guilty for which one, though? The 24 items thing is forgivable, because they deserve it for improper usage (should be "or fewer") but the rain, now, that we may censure you for... ;)
On Thursday,
1. I spent $50 on pigments.
2. I also spent about three hours on public transportation, and a full hour walking alone through downtown Oakland in the middle of the night because of the limitations of public transportation.

I used to love movies so much, and follow them so obssesively, that Oscar night was a big deal to me. I used to describe it as my Super Bowl. Now I only see about 5-10 new movies a year, but I still watch the Acadamy Awards. I haven't missed them in the last 15 years or so.
On a strange, sad, sidenote: The night my father died in 1994 was an Oscar night.
I balanced my checkbook tonight during the boring speeches--only actually watching if the person was wearing something fabulous.

1. I should be in bed right now but my childhood fears are coming back to haunt me.
2. I usually go to bed before Daniel but tonight we went to bed at the same time, now I feel like there's no one to protect me if a burglar comes.
3. Daniel stumbled upon my LJ. Shortly thereafter, he said he was annoyed by everything and went to bed. He claims he didn't read it. How could he resist?
Bonus.

1. I did my taxes online this weekend. I found out that I owe over $800 to Federal & State combined. $%*#!& Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. :'(
2. I watched the movie Cabin Fever on Friday night. It was bad, but I have to admit I was scared, but more in a grossed out way. The good thing that came out of me watching it though is that I decided I have crush on James DeBello (http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0004867/). Something about his eyes and his voice. I loved him in Detroit Rock City too, but I hated his long hair in that movie so I didn't realize how cute he was until now.
3. What is with me lately? I have been developing crushes on actors like crazy! It's like I'm suddenly 15 years old again. If only I could meet James DeBello, make him fall in love with me and then he could pay my taxes.

1. 4:30 is often supper time at our house.
2. my daughter doesn't like to eat early in the morning and school starts before she's ready to eat.
3. she usually doesn't eat even half of what they serve at school and rarely takes much if she packs her own lunch, so she's very hungry by 4:30.

I sent Robyn some bamboo tile necklaces I made for Harrison's sale today...I sent 9
I could have sold all of them over the past couple of days
One person offered me 45 dollars for one! How cool is that? Alas, I wrapped them up and shipped them to Robyn...it only cost 1.85 to ship...yay! I hope they make her some money.
I want to see these necklaces! Do you have a pic?
I made a bunch of earrings for Robyns sale last night.

I have some things that are in my "give-away" pile that are handmade that I want to send to Robyn. They are stuff I was given as gifts that aren't "me". Is that tacky?
The weather here in my little corner of So. Cal. has been very odd. Blue skies with puffy clouds, then grey and ominous, hail, then light rain, blue skies again and then blustery.
I went to Costco today and spend NO actual money. I had a rebate check from my Costco Amex card that was $28.00 and I bought real food. I HATE BEING BROKE!!
Most of those are multiple facts in one...oh well

1. Tana, I think as long as they are new and homemade, go ahead and send them! I have a few things like that that I may send also.
2. Lilac, I worry too about whether or not people will buy my stuff... I think we are all more critical of our own work than other people are. I have a friend who is a fantastic artist and I brought in a little book I'd made to show her and she said she would buy it! I was sure it was just a sad little shoddy thing. Tastes vary.
3. It is very sunny out and I don't want to be at work. I want to go home.

I'm really okay...I'm just upset with my boss and I feel like an insignificant nobody
I am one of 2 special education teachers...we share a classroom...we are losing our assistant because the principal wants her for an office position (she wants to stay here)
Anyway, a new assistant came today and he had someone cover the other teacher's class and the assistant and they went and met the new assistant and went over things...then, my assistant comes back to tell me what's going on! I'm the classroom teacher and not once has any conversation of a new person or losing my assistant been had with me...only with the assistant and the other teacher...it just makes me feel worthless...like what I think and feel doesn't matter...petty, I guess, compared to the real troubles in the world
I wouldn't know what my new assistant looked like if she ran right into me!

i spent all my money.
i spend money fast because when i don't have money i think about all the things i need to go buy and then i get money and buy the things needed until there is no money left. I am aware this is not the way to do things. But since when have I been responsible?!?!?
I wish that I could trade paintings for useful stuff of equal value like I do here on nervousness but at actual stores.
I bought the makings for a really BIG canvas BIG BIG!!!! 60"x32" big and I plan to paint it.

I need to dance again myself. I can't find any "recreational" dance classes for a person my age that involves serious dance..... I have this love/hate relationship with ballet. I don't want to take it seriously since I am too fat to be a ballerina and I'm skinny...... I just wanna ballet dance because ballet is so graceful.
I often wonder what people would think of me if they knew me the way I know myself.
I am listening to kate bush...... god kate bush is soo good. Tori Amos OBVIOUSLY got some influence here.

I echo your sentiments, Wonky! Let's start a regular sized girls ballet class!
1. I just had a really disturbing thought about Mr. Rogers. Am I the only one that was not okay with him having 2 houses? Please keep in mind I adored Mr. Rogers.
2. Nick bought a laptop through Dell last night, which means I'm going to have to figure out a way to steal it. But at the same time, I can't admit I adore it, because it's too much money.
3. He wants a wireless router for the house, which is cool because I'm convinced i will type a lot in front of the tv.

I go to a regular sized people's ballet class and I love it. It is actually called "Ballet exercise" and the teacher uses mainly ballet mixed with yoga, belly dancing and other exercise techniques. There is no jumping or taking oneself seriously in there, but you still feel like you danced. I wish ya'll could come with me!
We picked up one car at the shop today and left the other one there. %@*$# car repair bills!
Gwensdad needs a reality check and I'm afraid I will have to be the one to give it to him.

1. I'm glad you said something because this has always bothered me too! Did he need an extra house to get away from his wife? Did she know about this other house?
2. Want to know something else that I think about that bothers me? The fact that there will never be any new colors! I know that sounds absolutely psychotic to say - but it's true! Yes, people might develop new shades of colors but really there will never be anything besides red, blue, yellow, green, orange, purple, pink, brown, white and black and various shades of those. That makes me kind of sad. I want to see some new crazy color that my eyes have never seen before!
3. Sometimes my thoughts scare me, but in a humorous sort of way.

Okay, I think we need to stay away from one another IRL, because we're so alike that we might create some weird time vortex or something...
1. I buy crayolas just so I can see the names of the new colors they have, but sadly Sarahkate is right about the absence of new colors... sigh.
2. I'm right with you on car bills, gwensmom. They are, how you say, 'the suck!'
3. I'm in a much happier mood today, and I think it's either a lot of sleep, a lot of tylenol severe congestion or the weather....Maybe a combination of the three. I'm going home to do some serious mail art and CD burning... YAY!

1. I can just see our boyfriends looking at each other, shaking their heads, and rolling their eyes as we would sit and discuss Mr. Rogers, crayola crayons, the lack of colors in the world, and all sorts of crazy things that only we would find amusing. :P
2. All I have had to eat today so far was a little bag of Famos Amos chocolate chip cookies. I think the lack of nutrition is making me loopy!
3. This (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=528&ncid=528&e=2&u=/ap/20040304/ap_on_hi_te/internet_sales_tax_7) pisses me off! I was doing my taxes last week online and there was a question that came up asking you to report how much you have spent shopping online. I already owe the government hundreds of dollars this year, I'm not paying those fools even more! So, of course I lied and said I had spent zero dollars shopping online. Just let them try to hunt me down & squeeze a few more dollars out of me. grrr.
stargal1998

1. I was told you didn't HAVE to put it, it was more of an honesty thing because of internet taxes not being assessed. They better not do it, if they know what's good for them... I don't know what I'd do, but still, it's taxing those of us who don't leave the house because there are so many taxes and fees built into necessities. That's profiling or something!
2. I still buy and color in coloring books. I have a bunch from when I was a kid that I still haven't done anything with.
3. Nick thinks I'm childish, and I think he's childish. Does that mean we're both adults, childish or just strange???

2. Cory was talking to me today on Yahoo Messenger & said he seriously has thought about us moving out of the country, to someplace like England or Scotland. I was surprised that he would really consider doing that. I don't think it will ever happen though. I am afraid to fly, so it would be a bit difficult to move to an overseas country.

1. Um, I told nick that I wouldn't ride with him for a year. Everyone keeps telling me to make sure he has my name as a beneficiary on a life insurance policy before he gets the motorcycle.
2. His grandma told me I must hate him because I said he could get one. I replied that he was an adult, and I really couldn't control the things he did. Besides, it's his money.
3. I guess Mike (Nick's sister's fiancee that passed away) was cheating on S. She'd seen the signs before he'd died, but chose to overlook it. Now she's realizing it.

I REALLY have to get off the computer soon. I have to put the dogs out before they pee on my floor...but my son said he threw a chicken bone out the back door (why? I don't know...) and I have to go out and find the damn bone (in the dark)before I can let the dogs out because I'm afraid one of them will eat it and choke.

Stargal, was this the guy you mentioned a few months ago who'd had a sudden aneurysm or stroke and was hospitalized? I hadn't heard that he died. Ugh, poor girl. Doubly awful. It makes me think of The Pilot's Wife.

Okay. These "facts" are all about food and I'm not even hungry because . . .
1. I made (and then ate) to much dinner tonight: london broil, zuchini, baked potato and french bread.
2. I never use the word "fix" to describe preparing a meal.
3. I find the Kentucky Fried Chicken commercial where the lady is eating "kitchen strips" and her husband keeps saying "don't you mean chicken stips" vaguely disturbing. This is because I keep flashing back to the movie Girl Interuppted. There is a character in that movie who keeps confusing the words kitchen and chicken and then in the end she hangs herself.

1. I did it. I went out to the grocery store & got some lunch. And some fruit leather (1 mango and 1 raspberry) and some Arizona Green Tea. Yay!
2. I was cornered in the parking lot. as I was about to get into my car, by some kid who was trying to sell magazine subscriptions so he could go to Europe and he wants to be a stand up comic or something. He was nice, even though he was cheesy & tried flirting as a sales tactic, but that wasn't enough to make me buy a magazine subscription from a stranger in a grocery store parking lot. I told him I was poor so I couldn't do it.
3. It's a windy day here. That is not a good thing since we have recently had warm enough days to melt almost all of the snow, which leaves trash and debris on the streets that was once covered by mounds of snow. So, I drove through the ever so lovely ghetto decorated with trash all over the streets, and floating about in the air. Gross.

1. oooh, fruit leather. I'll have to write you a letter tonight, Sarahkate. Look for it in your clip art cd package and your ataris cd. I am really sorry I haven't sent it out yet. That's what this weekend is for. LOL.
2. I think we're seeing Eurotrip tonight, the friday night tradition of stupid movies and popcorn is on. Yeah!
3. I have so much Nness stuff to do it isn't funny. Luckily, I seem pretty motivate.

1. Yes fruit leather is the best! The grocery store was just remodeled and they added a big natural/organic foods section and now they have almost every flavor of Fruit Leather. Yummmm.
2. Cool! Mail for me! Woohoo! Oooh yeah. I forgot all about that Ataris cd. I thought maybe there were a few PIFs I was owed by people from a while ago but I couldn't remember what exactly they were & I was too lazy to go back and look through all of the older PIF pages. I only started keeping track of all of my PIFs that are owed to me recently.
3. I use way too many exclamation marks. It's a bad habit. I think that as a result of that people think I am a REALLY perky chipper person, when that's not the case. I'm friendly, but I'm not always such a happy person. In fact, my mom called me "Eeyore" all through my teenage years because in some way I am so similar to him.

H's cousin and his life partner of like 22 years are flying in on monday from georgia to get married here. i hope an injunction is not in place.
i told my dad we got married. he said, 'that's not right.' and started crying. then, i was talking to my mom and she said, uh...your dad went for a walk. all that gives me a constant stomachache.
i should go clean for our company. i consolel myself by saying that when it's clean, i'll be able to do art too!!!

Sorry about the parents
Some people have a hard time dealing with all the issues of same sex relationships/marriage eventhough they love you
It doesn't change that they love you...I hope you will find some peace with them
I, myself, am extremely openminded...I think I would be okay if my daughter told me she was gay (is that word even politically correct...I hope so)
My daughter is opposed to same sex relationships and I've tried to talk to her about being accepting of everyone...She's still a young girl so there's still time to grow and open up to the worlds' differences

If anyone wants to write me a letter...that would be so cool
I had a boyfriend that would write me letters in college (I was in TN...he was in TX) and he would draw little pics and color all over them...they were the coolest...I came across one the other day while cleaning my daughter's room as a surprise for her

You know I thought I saw you on TV until you showed us your pics...the person I saw that looked like you was wearing a red coat or shirt
Then, I saw the pics from Ziegeist (sp) and those pics look just like the person I saw on TV...weird

1. No, she is still young. I am sure as she gets older she will continue to become more and more open minded as she goes through life and experiences more things and people. :)

2. I misread this and thought it said "that were delivered in prison"
3. When I was about 12 or 13 I remember thinking that when I was in high school I wanted to date a boy named Bobby who played football and drove a shiny red pickup truck. Mind you, I didn't have a specific "Bobby" in mind, I just wanted this future boyfriend to be named Bobby. I am also not fond of pickup trucks or football. What the hell was I thinking??! I think I used to watch too many movies that took place in the 50's.

1. SPOOKY! I read your answer before you deleted it in the questions, questions thread. Hmm... we have some weird psychic connection. Maybe I was really born in 1979 instead of 1980 and we are really twins who were seperated at birth.

2. A year ago I never thought I would be so into creating stuff. good point... I wonder too.
1. I'm all set for my weekend of creativity. There is a little line up of projects across my floor.
2. I'm trying a new approach ot projects. Instead of just picking materials as I go I'm now pulling a bunch of materials in whatever theme I'm doing and then working only with that stuff. I overwhelm myself with ideas and end up getting frustrated. I'm hoping this simplified way of working will help me a bit.

Hi Robyn!!! That's great news about the assessment and the transplant... It's sort of scary at the same time, the operation, the anti-rejection meds - but I can't help thinking it can't be worse than having to feed Harrison through a tube and those blood tests all the time, and fighting the medical personnel... Sorry you're having such a crappy day, Ashley! Hope it improves soon...
1. When I was little my parents were hippies. We had pet monkeys. We spent a summer living in VW bus that was painted flat black and decorated (by my mother) with blue & green paisley and the album cover design of one of Donovan's records (the one with a heron, I think, and a crab?). The monkeys must have come after that summer, as they were not on the bus with us.

1. I'm glad someone's rooting for me.
2. It is indeed probably the feelings that are complicated, not the boys, although the boy's feelings would be the most complicated thing of all to deal with.
3. I think most of the confusion I've got at the moment comes from trying to be good with both just being friends and the possibility of something more. For now, it's just friends... but we've moved from "barely acquaintances" to "speak/see each other pretty much every day" (online or at school or socially) in about two months. It just seems like it'll only take a nudge to jump up a notch at some point... and I'm not doing that by accident again.

1. When I was in 9th grade, my friend Stephanie and I dissected owl pellets as an extra credit project. It was really cool.
2. My parents had a VW bus when I was kid, although they were not hippies in any way shape or form. My husband aspires to be a hippy, and he has a restored VW bus and wears a lot of tie-dye and listens to the Dead.
3. I must confess, I don't understand the appeal of the Dead. I've asked him about it a number of times, and I just don't get it. If we'd started dating while Jerry Garcia was still alive, we never would have made it.
