1. Rustell! I, too, had green shag carpeting in my house, from ages 1-4. (1974-1978). My brother, who is two years younger, only remembers the carpet, not the rest of the house, and he calls it "the green house." (But it was brick.)

2. Bugitha! My poem is in B.A.P. 2003, so you should be able to find it in any bookstore for your reading pleasure. And it's really short, so it won't take long to digest it.

3. katiekat! I am so glad you had fun with yummy man. ;)

1. Seusomon: Was I terribly out of the loop? I didn't know you were in the midst of a breakup... I'm sorry for any ickiness -- and I so understand the need for physical niceness. I was there, and since i am such a tactile, huggy person, that was really the worst part of my break up for me. I wish you well, and take care of yourself. If I can help with anything (i'm a heck of a good listener), just let me know.

2. Yesterday, my parents and I were in the car, and we were stopped at a red light. A woman on a bicycle rode past and stopped alongside our lane, about a car ahead. She was wearing high heels, hose, and a very short skirt -- which we all found perplexing as it was like 35 degrees and windy out, and she was on a major street at a very busy intersection. Traffic started moving again, and as we passed her, my mom and I glanced over at her the same time that she glanced over at us. Our eyes bugged out and we burst into giggles -- SHE was really a HE, and HE was badly in need of a shave! The 5 o'clock shadow did not match her look very well, and the whole thing was so surreal -- a fabulous interruption to a grey, boring day.

3. Rustell: I like random thoughts, so go ahead and share yours anytime you want to. And yes, I smell a little bit like cookies. And now, so does Littlest-Bee!

-1- The sucky winter weather begins tonight in Baltimore and I am not happy about it. It's going to be "wintry mix" which sounds way prettier than what it actually is: snow, freezing rain, and sleet, all at once. Blech.

-2- One year ago tomorrow, we had our first "snow day" of the year and they closed campus. Will history repeat itself? That would be nicer than having to drive in it, I guess.

-3- The birthday countdown continues: I am 29 for only 8 more days and some change!

1. I have not had a snow day since starting Uni. It would take an extreme amount of snow to make that happen (I would guess at least eight inches overnight with alot of wind to drift it) and it's been a dry few winters around here.

2. I have thirty more pages of notes to review to meet my goal of studying the latter half of the theory for my Material Science final. That leaves just the first half, and all of the calculation problems. Oi. This final is a doozie; good thing I almost like this stuff.

3. I need to go to the grocery store, but I don't want to leave my house.

1. Since it is snowing so bad, my parent's will most likely not be coming up to my function at work, which means they will most likely not be picking up the kitten unless we bring it down to them.

2. I'm thinking of drafting a contract, full of dos and don'ts so I know this kitten will be taken care of: No being outside, must get shots, no loud noises/ yelling at it, carrying it very carefully, etc...

3. The kitten purrs whenever I walk into the bathroom (we're keeping it there for the time being) and runs over to me if we are in another room.

-3- My cat isn't allowed in our bedroom, but sometimes when Chris is at work and I am at home and still sleepy, I let her get into bed with me. She loves it, and purrs madly.

- This means I can stand on about one square inch for each foot. I'm having fun.

- My ankles and toes are going to hate me when I take these things off.

1. I've been studying for the past 2 days, all day. Studying this hard makes my brain swim and sometimes hurt, hmm... I guess it doesn't like all the information I'm trying to cram into it.
2. It was funny yesterday. I'd been studying for 6 or 7 hours without a break so I decided to come down stairs and take a break. My friend started to talk to me but I really couldn's put words together. I don't know why my mind can focus on so much school but then not be able to have a normal conversation. It was really funny when I realized I kept almost speaking in Italian.
3. Aghh! I have 3 finals on Monday. Actually only 2, but I have to turn in a project. It's so ridiculous, my Astronomy classes final is worth 75 % of my grade and my project in that class is worth the other 25%. That scares me.

It's raining hard enough now that I'm worried about my garage being flooded - it has happened in the past in this building, though not since I've been here.

I keep thinking it's a lot later at night than it is. Partly due to lack of sleep.

I picked up three fallen leaves today and have them on the computer table in front of me.

oh yes indeey i did name julian after him!!! i had my 'boy' name picked out for ... 16 years before i had a boy baby to name....

1: on the same line- harrison is NOT named after harrison ford.. it was just a very uncommon name that both chris and i liked... :)

2: and we eached picked out a second name for harrison and (dont' laugh) chris's was kiefer and mine was liam... harrison liam kiefer larter.... <sigh> it was NOT planned that he has all movie star names!!! honestly, i swear we didn't even notice it until my sister pointed it out!!!! yikes!!! but we liked how strong the names were together so we didnt' change our minds....

3: i will never get to use my girl's names.... which lately has made me infinitely sad... the other day at the mall, there were a million moms with baby girls and i was in tears..... for the record, my girl's names are: jelannah skye and bronwyn elan.........

4: my mom keeps telling me we can adopt...... yeah.. we dont' have money for gas and she thinks we can adopt a baby????? she's pretty funny that mom o'mine....

I knew a girl who went to a concert where he was opening, and he was in a space suit and he was talking about the next song, "And this song is about flying...in outer space..." 3. 2 old friends are going to come and stay at my co-op for part of the time during Christmas break! I never get to see them cause they live in cities far away from mine. (Ok only 2 hours away, but I still never get to see them).

The Peanut is a very cool little neighborhood bar that has Open Mic night every Tuesday. A long-time friend and his band use it as a practice night, and he invited me out 3 months ago. Since then, I've been every Tuesday night, and we've gotten quite a good group of people that show up every time (including Crush and Yummy Guy). The bartender is awesome, and the night usually lasts until way late. Peanut night is my favorite night of the week!

Bonus fact - I've been in a neck-rub giving mood today, I could give a neck rub to Rustell if she were just a bit closer to here... :)
Can i have one too? My shoulder's been killing me for the longest time... there's a knot in there that just won't come out.

1. I am in love with my outfit today! I'm wearing charcoal grey slacks, a button-down striped shirt (white, green, grey, blue, orange, & silver), and my chartreuse sweater that matches the green stripe in the shirt perfectly. I feel very pulled together and I like it! (ps - the shirt may sound hideous, but it's really not.)

2. December is just not condusive to getting anything done. I've managed to look busy without actually working today.

3. I have a friend who bites people when she's drunk. She'll even bite someone she doesn't know.

- I like giving neck rubs. KatieKat, you're welcome to one too. :)

- We've had sunny weather three days in a row now. Hope it doesn't spell a rainy weekend.

- I have to be going soon. I'd rather not deal with being rudely disconnected again tonight.

 With Christine gone for a month Seusomon should be able to take over the lead.

:o :o I am going to go for a walk and see if abandoning the computer helps my neck, it's worth a try.

   I am anxious to go home today.

1. I took another day off to Christmas shop today & actually got quite a bit done. Now for the wrapping!

2. I have both of my Christmas trees up, but the rest of my decorations are piled in the middle of my living room floor. How did I accumulate so many decorations in 4 years of marriage??? I love the way my house looks decorated, but it's a pain to pack up the every-day stuff to make room for the decorations, only to have to take everything back down in a couple of weeks. And I don't think we're having any company this year, so who else is going to see it? At this point, I'm pretty apathetic about the whole decoration thing...

3. I fully intend to clean up & reorganize my studio tonight. Things have gotten entirely out of control in here during the last couple of weeks, and it's affecting my creativity (not to mention my ability to procrastinate...).

Rustell, you sound just like my hubby! Whenever he's really proud of something, he refers to it as his "friend." This goes for the internet, our ISP, his favorite program, this favorite website, the pasta he cooked for dinner last night... I frequently tease him about all of his friends... :P

1. When I came home from shopping today, I dumped all of my packages in the living room. My youngest cat scrounged through them, and found the bag from Petsmart, which contained gifts from "Santa" for all three kitties.... Needless to say, all the gifts have been kitty tested and approved.

2. The paper star lantern over my desk just came on by itself. Kind of spooky....

3. I'm really going to get busy cleaning now.... I promise.... really.....

Awesome! Now if i can find a way to magically traverse the 4528.660 miles that separate me from Cuilanie, I'll be relieved of neck pain. And, btw, Cuilanie (and I don't mean to embarrass you by saying this) -- you are a very attractive woman! *insert construction-worker whistle here* I would even call you a hottie.

1. There is not a gosh-darned thing for me to do at work tonight. So I'm sitting here, bored, wishing that 9 pm would hurry up and get here so I can go home.

2. Although, I'm not really going home -- friend Shawn is picking me up from work (yay for boys with big trucks! i didn't want to drive my bitty car on ice), and we'll probably chill at his house for awhile.

3. I really want to read a good book, but at the moment, I can't seem to find anything that catches my attention. :(

2. I got a sweet PM from KatieKat. <hugs>

Oo, for the first time in a couple of weeks, I spent most of my day working on Nervousness stuff. Two ATC albums, six goauche painted ATC's, sent out returns on my Presidential ATC's and the MAIL JUST CAME!

Never mind the fact I still need to do a character turnaround, a thirty second animated piece, sculpt a figure, study for my business exam and try and find out how I'm doing in my Online Class.

Oh, and my room is royally thrashed. But at least I can use my desk again.

This year I'm very slow coming around to the realization of how soon Christmas is.

I love accidental art, and some of the best comes from scraps and trimmings of metal that happen to make pleasing forms. One from last Friday was so good, right off the shear, that I mounted and colored it and made it into a freestanding sculpture (http://www.davidmbowman.com/pix/reedredsculpture800tall.jpg) today. Of course, it ought to be 60 ft tall...

My camera is having intermittent problems, but I think I've got them figured out, if not solved.

1. I CLEANED MY DESK! Yes, I can actually see the top of it now. It was, oh, unbelieveable, you wouldn't believe me if I showed you a picture. Not only my desk, but the shelf and the floor...all right there in the corner of the room into which guests are invited. AND...in cleaning my desk...

2. I finished putting all documents I own into my new filing system. Ask me anything. I can now look it up and retrieve it in like, one minute. Anything. EXCEPT two of my sons' birth certificates. Where the heck ARE they?

3. I stopped at a friend's today and offered myself as a wedding planner to her daughter, who is being married Saturday, is very young, is pregnant, and is completely overwhelmed by the details of a wedding, even a small one for 25 guests. She called me two days ago to ask if I'd arrange the music, since that's one of the things I do in my church, and she just sounded so overwhelmed and at the same time so sweetly concerned that she follow the "rules" for being married in the chapel that I couldn't stop thinking about it. She was so relieved when I walked in and said, "I'm your wedding planner. Get a notebook." We talked for 45 minutes and I made a couple calls. She now has an experienced pianist to provide music, a beautiful decorated arch with ivy, tulle, and twinkle lights, two silk ficus trees, two poinsettia plants, red tablecloths, gold-flecked pine cones, glass bowls of cranberries, and anything else we think might be helpful coming to the church on Saturday morning with three women who are going to help her make the little reception room absolutely beautiful...at zero cost to her and her young fiance. :^ ) It was a great day!

1. My stupid computer at work stopped working yesterday afternoon. I couldn't get back on the internet or use any of the databases I need for work, so for about 2 hours I had to just sit here doing nothing for the most part. ugh.

2. When I came back into work today my computer had *magically* fixed itself! Yahoooo!
