Ugh, I was reading things people say that annoy you.. and I have a few to add, so here are my three:
1. The girl who sits across from me does not know that idea and ideal are 2 completely different words.. and says, "I really have no ideal".. all the time.. I have pointed it out to her on several occassions, but she doesn't seem to get it!
2. I have a friend and her cell phone voice message says.. "hello.. (pause).. hello... (another pause).. sorry, I can't get to the phone, leave a message".. she thinks it is very clever.
3. My boss calls me Amelia.. sometime she calls me Amelia Bedelia.. My name is Aimee, not Amelia.. she apparently thinks it is cute, and she is the boss, so I can't say much..
I also don't like it when people call me "Aims" or "Aimers".. or any variation of Aimee (which you wouldn't actually think there were variations of Aimee, but oh well)

1. I am having yet again a not-so-healthy eating day....so far I have had 2 graham crackers.....a small bag of peanut M&M's ....and some coke...and some water.
2. I was very sad that the vending machine was sold out of Cherry coke. :(
3. There are pipes in my cubicle that keep banging soooo loud. It's driving me crazy. Sounds like they are going to explode. This happens ever year when the heat is on in our office.

oh look...me...posting AGAIN! Anyway...
1. I am the most unhealthy person on N'ness. For "breakfast" today I just had 6 UH-OH Oreos (you know - the inside out kind) and some coke. This has to stop! Must - eat - oatmeal!
2. I am totally in love with Rustell's Where do you live? (http://nervousness.org/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=15&t=6203&st=) thread. This is my 2nd favorite thread on the boards.
3. My most favorite thread is the Picture Thread (http://nervousness.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=1280) :) I love to see what you all really look like.

1. I just checked my Stats web page, looking for next weeks assignment, and instead found out class is cancelled. I have the biggest grin on my face. :D
2. I'm going to be late for my first class, because I want to finish my coffee properly, and I don't care.
3. I love Rupert on Survivor. He reminds me so much of Hagrid it's not funny.

-1- I have never seen Survivor.
-2- I ordered a cheesesteak for lunch, because I made myself crave one after posting it as one of my Top 5 Meals.
-3- I will have a Cherry Coke for you, Sarahkate. (Unless my vending machine is also out, in which case, regular Coke for me.)

1. I had a snickers for breakfast, so I am right there with you sarahkate, and I have to bring my own Pepsi One with me, because I haven't met a machine that has Pepsi One.
2. I am going to see Tim Conway and Harvey Korman tonight, and am very excited about it. We got our tickets in April, 3rd row. They crack us up. Am also thinking we may be the youngest people there.
3. Brian watches Survivor, and I usually spend that hour working on my scrapbook, last night I floated around on Nervousness while waiting for pictures to print. He did get me to watch CSI though, and I have to admit that I rather enjoyed it.
Hm....I think that's more than 3 facts.

1. I love CSI.. so much in fact, that I am taking classes in forensic science next year. My current degree is in Biology, so I am brushing up on a few things before I take the state exams.
2. I am actively seeking a new job.. I applied for a higher position at the place I currently work, and if I don't get it, I have decided this is not the place for me.. (although, I already know this isn't the place for me)
3. Our vending machine has all the flavors of Pepsi.. regular, diet, caffeine free, One, vanilla, and cherry.. but I don't like Pepsi products.. so it is a complete waste for me..

1. I lost my debit card in Wyoming.
2. It seems to be the middle of October already.
3. Regarding #1, this is the conversation that transpired when I called the number to report a lost card:
"To report a lost card, press 2."
(Tom presses 2)
"Hello. Please give me your 16 digit account number"
Tom: "I don't have it - I lost my card"
"OK, let me have your social security number instead."
(Tom gives social security number)
"I'm bringing up your account now . . . So how may I help you?"
Tom: "I lost my card on Wednesday."
"OK. For security reasons, I need to ask you to give me your social security number."
(Tom gives SSN again)
"When did you lose your card?"

funny you should mention that.. I have conversations like that all the time
conversations of the day.. strange but true..
1. I had a customer service call today that ended up having to be turned over to the police.. the man wanted to know if this lad banked here.. and he didn't want me to be mad.. but he went to her house and found a dead body on the couch.. (yes.. that freaked me out a little)
2. When I got back from lunch.. I had a voice mail that simply stated (in an old lady voice).. "damn you, sons of bitches"
3. My coworker was just telling me about how her grandma came over yesterday and was in her bedroom helping hang wall paper.. and she is hoping she didn't see the "nympho- cream" on the dresser..

lol at the telephone convos!!! heh
1: my sister listened in on a call at work on wednesday (she's training- she works for the government in some financial aid type program):
caller: i have porphyromonas, what are you people going to do about it???
employee: well, the dental coverge only covers children, so you will have to see a dentist yourself...
C: i can't afford a dentist!!! when i die, my wife is going to sue the govt of saskatchewan for murder!!! what, people turn 18 in the shitty province and then you let them die???
E: most people are covered under their work, or you could pay for blue cross or GMS coverage... (knowing said caller likely was not working but collecting some kind of other govt assistance)
C: that's it, i'm suing you people now!!! i'm not letting you kill me!! my wife will sue you when i die, she'll get $30 million from the saskatchewan govt!!! you people wont' get away with this!!!
after which he started in with racial slurs about who WOULD get his life saving dental services... and they hung up on him.... <sigh> i could never field a call like that!!! i would just tell him GET A JOB AND PAY FOR COVERAGE OR A DENTIST!!! knowing that it is still very expensive anyhow, and we can't afford it, even though chris works, at least.. but hey, my kids are covered!!! ;)
2: my pickles are ready and they turned out wonderfully!!! yay for fall!!!
3: my baby is crying and he's only been asleep for half an hour... he thinks he doens't need a two hour nap every four hours while he's on his feeding pump... i disagree!!! ;)

1. I bought a wig for Halloween today.
2. It's the first time I've ever put a wig on -- and being that my natural hair is pretty long it was a pain to get it pinned out of the way.
3. Thinking I might try to dye my hair the color of the wig..if only i could find the right dye.

1. I just got the first ATC back from the first LMAO I started
2. I can't stand perfume normally, on people, in deodorants,in soap, in candles, on paper products, etc., but if anyone ever bottles the scent of the florets of the shrub Osmanthus fragrans I wouldn't mind if everyone wore it...
3. Though I don't intend ever to get pierced (or help pierce anyone else, for that matter), I have been looking through online catalogues of body jewelry suppliers, and figuring out when I can go to a local piercing shop, checking wholesale prices of curved and circular surgical steel barbell thingies for a new metal wall hanging idea. Checking into prices for quantities over 200(!).

- I want to get a haircut this week.
- I plan on being all caught up by Monday, so that I can concentrate on a few longer projects.
- My new avatar is a picture taken 5 years ago when I first dyed my hair blue.
Edited to add a bonus : I was born on a Wednesday, and my birthday is also a Wednesday this year. I'm off to find out which years this has happened before. This is very typical of me... :D

- i love the blue hair, it looks fantastic. There was this guy who had navy blue hair once, it looked black from a distance and navy up close. We were both in relationships at the time, but he had a thing for my eyes, which I discovered when he walked up to me, grabbed my chin moved my head back and forth and said, "Whoa, you have got the coolest eyes, are those contacts?", so we'd just walk by eachother and say "Nice eyes" "Nice hair" all the time. Weird fact.
-My in-laws are on their way here to go through my costume collection to decide what to be for Halloween, my father also has an "appointment" to do the same this afternoon.
-I have my Thanksgiving cards ready to go and am just waiting for November to send them.

No more 2$ bills for us! A few years ago they were replaced by coins. Ugh. <_<
Maybe someone who kept a bill as a souvenir could tell us about the flag?
1. Tonight I'm going to a buffet with my boyfriend and my sister. We're going to eat crab legs, yummy!
2. I'm still in my pyjamas and it's almost 4pm. I need to take a shower!

1. I just got one of the new US $20 bills. And we thought the previous incarnation looked like play money - Jeez! The part that really bothers me is that, perhaps in keeping with the "What's good for GM is good for America" mentality, the bill is next year's model, not this year's: it says on it "Series 2004"...
2. I'm in serious need of a haircut.
3. I'm about to go meet some other local NaNoWriters to start getting psyched for the great marathon next month.

1. Today, in the bank parking lot, my car wouldn't start. Of course I tried starting it several times before calling a tow truck. I waited about 20 minutes for the truck and when the driver tried it, the car started up just fine. They still charged me $35 for a service call though.
2. I will be paranoid every time I try to start it until I can get it to the shop
3. Part of me longs for the days when I relied soley on public transportation to get around.

1. Today someone broke into my poor car(shattering the drivers side window and breaking the door handle)
2. They tore up my dash board and stole my cd player...and almost completely ripped the cover off my glove box :(
3. On a happier note...I did find $20 on the ground as i was walking back inside....i'm on my way to payin for the window! <_<

3. I somehow managed to get my breast on the drawer and as I leaned forward, the drawer closed and pinched the ever loving crap out of my nipple.
Two bonus facts
4. I don't think I have ever yelled profanities so loud in my life and now my nipple is turning purple.
5. I know I am accident prone but that was unreal. I am not happy. :( *sniff sniff* :(

1. I think I'm slightly allergic to apples themselves: when I eat a whole raw apple, and nothing else (that is, don't eat it as part of a meal), I usually feel slightly sick to my stomach later on.
2. There's a large spider living inside one of the faucet handles in my shower. It's a really stupid place for a spider to live - poor thing gets drenched, gets its pitiful attempts at a web destroyed every morning - but it can hide right inside so I can't get at it to take it outside where it would be happier.
3. As long as the one fish I caught and threw back survived, I've never personally killed anything in my own superphylum (Chordata). Closest relatives I've killed would be molluscs and arthropods and nematodes (oh my!).

Raw apples by themselves make me sick too.
I eat apple slices with peanut butter or cheese so I won't get sick.
I don't think its an allergy, but a fiber overload or something.

I get the same reaction from eating kiwi fruit or macadamia nuts (also pistachios, though less severe). My mouth and throat tingle and swell up a little, but my lips and the area around them also itch. Really unpleasant.
Too bad, because I love kiwi, pistachios, and macadamias. :(
1.The crafty items I am most lusting after these days: an alphabet stamp set with smallish letters, new gel pens, scrapbook with black pages, xyron510 machine. But alas, new crafty items are low on the priority list what with cars to be fixed and dentists to be called, and Christmas to be paid for.
2. I'm cooking for my stray friends who can not be with their families for Thanksgiving this year. I'm actually pretty excited about it. But that's because I haven't hosted Thanksgiving dinner in about 10 years. I was hoping to get away with just a turkey breast but a friend of mine has her heart set on dark meat, so I guess it will be the whole dang bird!

Oh it's been a long time since I've been able to visit this thread. I've missed you thread.
1. I'm afraid my co-op is going to get rather dramatic in the next couple of days. I dated a housemate for a week or two but then decided it was a bad idea to date someone in the house, then he spent a night with another housemate's girlfriend, and I flirted with another housemate this weekend while very drunk. Oh, I can see this all ending badly or we could all just be adults and decide dating each other is a really bad idea. Sorry, rather long #1 without too much point other than to ramble.
2. I found $5 on the ground last weekend, I haven't found money on the ground forever.
3. One of my favorite bands is coming this week to Eugene and I'm going to go see them!!! I'm a little nervous because I'm forcing myself to go to it alone to build character. I've never gone to a concert alone. Hmm... I hope it turns out well and I meet some neat people.

I think it takes lots of courage, bluecrayon. You're holding up wonderfully!
- As long as it's a fact that you do think, Rustell, your post qualifies. ;)
- I've finished eating. Eating in front of a computer while posting feverishly, in a very cold room, is not conducive to a peaceful and hot meal.
- My boss allowed me to come in late this morning, and I took shameless advantage of that.

1. i want to know where hammerquill finds all this nifty stuff...he sounds like a dumpster diver extraordinaire!
Not really, though I don't mind pulling stuff out of the dumpsters when it's really good: got an early education in that when my father found a gigantic pile of Legos being thrown away in one one day. Where I've found this stuff? A factory that makes office binding machines, for doing semi-professional-looking bindings for corporate reports, and such, happens to be right next to where I work. They throw away long, thin strips of binding materials all the time, but this is the first time I've seen larger stuff.
I was going to put this one under today's first, but I'm here, so...
1. I have been pierced by infinity. Early this morning I was rooting through a box of random stuff and something lanced into my right ringfinger, drawing blood. It turned out to be a thin steel letter Aleph I found somewhere, with sharp points on it. (Aleph is used as a symbol for certain infinities in math.)
2. I love Carmina Burana!
3. If I sang (when anyone could hear me), I would probably be classed as a tenor: just because my voice is very high, not for my attitude. ;)
And to tie these themes together, a mathematician's drinking song: {All together now, "Aleph-null bottles of beer on the wall, Aleph-null bottles of beer. Take one down, pass it around, Aleph-null bottles of beer on the wall."}

Hmm. I often lose things, look for them everywhere, creating an even bigger mess in the process, only to find the darn thing a day later, right under my damn nose... I think I have a little invisible evil elf that delights in vanishing my stuff...

- I am still in the process or reorganizing my room - it's a nightmare - but I've got my crafting supplies nicely tucked into two drawers and my correspondence/Nervousness mail in another. Problem is, I don't know where to put the stuff that was originally in those drawers! <_< In the meantime, my room is a true disaster area. :( It's beyond bad.

- It's not that my roommate has power over me, precisely, it's a question of the configuration of the appartment (his room is actually the central space - it used to be the living room - and I have to cross it on my way to and from my own room), and the fact that the phone is in his room, hence the internet connection is on his computer, hence he gets annoyed as hell when I'm in his room when he arrives, but it's not like I have a whole lot of a choice, now do I? How am I supposed to live without the Internet now? :(
- Cramps are not good, but I wish I would get some right about now... or better, even, three weeks ago... <_<
- I'm going to my theatre class now (get used to seeing this on Mondays... :P )
Update - it's cancelled. I'm torn between annoyance at this and delight at being able to stay and post! I'm such an addict.
- And a bonus, because the other one is a sort of cheat - my chiropractor is on vacation this week. No massage, and no setting my spine straight this week. Ick.

2. My co-op's Halloween party is today!!!! I'm so excited, it's our first party for the year and we're notorious for our parties. In fact 5 years ago one of our parties created one of the Eugene riots. Hee hee hee. Sorry, riots are bad I just think it's funny that my house could do that.
3. I have a crazy memory when it comes to people. Not so much names, but I never or hardly ever forget a person. It kind of weirds people out because I'll remember them from years and years ago. Like yesterday I saw a girl I went to church with 8 years ago and remembered all the games we used to play when we were little, and like all these crazy details about our friendship. I'm really not a stalker, I just don't forget things like that. I wish I could apply it to something better than freaking people out.

I bought too much candy
In fact, I bought enough candy for every kid on my block and all of the surrounding blocks too.
I expect to have plenty of candy left over.

This is the first Halloween we have lived in this neighborhood which is full of kids.
I bought tons of candy but very few kids are coming by.
I wish I could transport my candy to medeous!

1. Katiekat's crush is making me wish I had a crush. Is that still allowed when you have a boyfriend? or married? happily married? that crush feeling is nice
1. Not many people were in costume today.
2. I bought two Christmas trees and tons of Christmas decorations for work today. We are so giddy about it we want to start decorating on Monday.
3. I've never been excited about decorating for Christmas on Halloween before.

Have you seen the Nightmare Before Christmas?
- The movie mentioned above is one of my all-time favorites. I love the animation, as well.
- I've turned on this computer to read an email and send another. I couldn't resist at least browsing the forums, and then I couldn't resist posting.
- I didn't write much last night. I'll do better today, I'm full of ideas!

1. I was sad this morning to see that my pumpkin, which I spent HOURS carving had been ruthlessly murdered in the night...
2. The art class I do for children turned crazy yesterday and wound up becoming a giant love session -- I realized I love all these kids immensely. Every one of them got a hug!!
3. I got GoofyBot in the mail yesterday and laughed out loud. Kittymao rocks!!!

1. Last fall we threw our pumpkin guts in the compost heap, and after a winter of the usual North Idaho snow and cold, our compost heap produced 20 pumpkins, some in time for Halloween.
2. Today I'm starting a game which will involve the entire neighborhood/church community, involves exponential mathematics and treats, and will last until Thanksgiving. I have played Halloween and Christmas variations of this game, too.
3. I'm immensely proud of the bald eagle costume I made for my three-year-old daughter, and immensely pleased that she came up with "bald eagle" over the many froufrou variations of fairy/princess/ballerina little girls are so prone to.

Lol, medeous. I have the same problem, though when I get a head ache I usually go with the possibility of a brain tumor.
1. I spent over an hour trying to balance my checkbook tonight--checking and rechecking my math, and then I realized that I had taken the beginning balance off a statement from two months ago.
2. I went to a friends house for Halloween in hopes of meeting her ghost which my friend claims turns the stereo and ceiling fan off and on and once left a childs rocker in the middle of her narrow hallway.
3. I wrote just over 1/30th of my nanowrimo novel today. I was hoping for more than that, but for the first day I guess its ok.

1. I love words which, though abstract, are still onomatopoetic. Mejaka's use of "froufrou" just now has reminded me of what fun there is in these. Now I want to invent a pair of cartoon characters - absurdly cute, but with sarcastic attitudes about issues of cuteness in cartoons - called Froufrou and Twee. They could guest star on the Animaniacs.
2. I loved The Nightmare Before Christmas the first time I saw it, and though I was enthusiastic to see it again, I couldn't stand it the second time. This happens with a rare few books and movies: I think I'll want to see them again and again, and find them unpalatable on second look.
3. I think I may have overshopped in preparation for the NaNoWriMo marathon.

1. I couldn't stand it the first time I saw it in the theatres, but loved it the second time I saw it when it came out on VHS. Maybe I should see it again and see what happens.
2. I, in my infinite organizational plan, have multiple "bags" (packpack, briefcase, luggage, whatever) one is just my purse, one is for everyday with stuff like my planner, letters to answer, papers referring to personal calls that I need to make, gift lists, etc., one is for my tour guide job, one is for my insurance job, one is for my teaching job. They have all simaltaneously exploded into unorganized messes and have consequentially been dumped out on the floor behind me.
3. Any ideas what today's project is? (Oh, that's not a fact!) Today I will be cleaning out and reorganizing all of my separate little worlds in addition to my desk which also has exploded into mounds of paper. It baffles me how everything can continue on this path of neat, neat, neat, neat, BOOM - A Mess!

1. This is post 1415 for me, 536 more and my posts and user number will be the same.
2. Yesterday, I was with someone who told people from Canada that property taxes are really low in Arizona. I pay almost $1700 a year, I don't think that is low.
3. It's 11AM and I haven't taken a shower yet. Usually I do that first thing in the morning, so I am feeling all rebellious. I need to get out more if I think that being awake for 4 hours without showering is rebellion..

1. This weekend is the first weekend in a long time to actually feel like a weekend. I've got out with my friends twice, not gone to bed before two, and slept til noon. It makes it hard to accomplish much, but it feels sooooo good.
2. My friend Daniel has an obsession with inverting stuffed animals. That may not be a fact about me, but it's pretty fun to watch.
3. My crush is coming home to visit next weekend. I really need to move on, but in the meantime... hee hee hee!

1. I have just discovered Reed's Ginger Ice Cream. MMMMmmm. MINE, all MINE! heheh.
2. I am not ready for the weekend to be over. Even more unready than usual at this time on a Sunday, that is.
3. I have plans to attend a meeting this Wednesday on how one submits proposals for installation art in local airports and public buildings. It will, no doubt, be utterly stultifying, but even thinking about the possibility of doing that kind of work has me deep in consideration of new directions to take my latest big metalworking idea. Giving yourself permission to think really big is a great thing.

1. I was a Cael'erethian Dark Elf (http://www.santharia.com/races/elves.htm) for Halloween. I need to find pictures.
2. I didn't get too drunk. Not enough red bull for bull-blasters. I like to shoot too, but my BF was being stingy with the Jager.
3. i really like fall. I got to wear my scarf again.

1. I am going on a day trip Wednesday, and I am hoping to get far enough north to witness autumn/fall.

1. being able to leave school during school hours (and NOT be riding on a school bus with a bunch of hollering kids) almost makes me feel grown up.
2. i have friday off so that i may attend a conference if i so desire...i will be conferring with my pillow until noonish, i believe.
3. we have a free store for teachers here called KidSmart, which is a wonderful thing and if you have one in your area, you should support it and if you don't, you should help establish one.

1. We have a similar place to that KidSmart, called The Depot (actually The East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse). Not free, but as close to it as they can manage with our area's rents. A very dangerous place for Nervous people, especially ones who don't own pickup trucks to carry it all home in.
2. Not far from there (and near where I work) is another dangerous spot, called Urban Ore, which started as a place that took usable stuff out of the city dump and sold it (cheap). Now for the most part Berkeley people - and even businesses - know about Urban Ore and its imitators, and will donate usable things there, or to The Depot, rather than dumping them. But there are still a lot of unbelievable things being thrown away.
3. Since I was a little ahead on my NaNoWriting today, and since my back hurt and my eyes were melting, I took some time off and actually got halfway through a Nness project I've been putting off. Wonders never cease.

1. We only had ONE trick-or-treater at our house on Halloween!! :( Now we have a big bowl of candy that will probably be stale by the time we finish eating it. I think I will have to bring it into work so my coworkers can eat some of it!
2. I ended up not going to see The Texas Chainsaw Massacre on Ha
