This idea is inspired by Random Acts of Kindness everywhere, including girl-who-loves-sharks' RAK club (see her post signature), and my Random Acts of Charity thread... I think I'm just obsessed with RAKs at the mo'...
It has no end date. It starts now, if there's any interest. Pre-newbies welcome.
The idea is:
decorate some piece of paper (handmake a postcard, alter or make a business card, or random piece of cardstock or anything you can make interesting)...
On that pretty piece of paper, write instructions for a Random Act of Kindness or Charity for the recipient to complete.
Choose any active Nervouser and send it off to them. You may do more than one and send 'em off to various Nervousers if you want.
The HOPE is that:
a) it will arrive and not get lost in the post
B) the recipient will complete the RAK task assignment
c) the recipient will contact me (by replying here, by PM, or Q&A, or by letting the person they recieve from know and the person they recieve from letting me know), so I can document the project's process - who sends, to whom, who recieves, who completes the task suggested to them, and who reciprocates by then sending off a note to a random nervouser of their choice with a RAK instructions...)
d) that those who recieve RAK instructions from someone will not only complete the task given, but will come up with a task of their own and send a decorated instruction paper/postcard to another random nervouser of their choice...
I hope that everyone will contact me to allow for documentation, but even if not, I hope this will continue for some time.
Also, I'm interested if you do recieve something from someone for this project, and you for whatever reason can't complete the task sent to you (ie. you were asked to donate $10 somewhere but you can't afford to), but you choose to do something else instead...
so, who's up for it? If ya are, just "sign up" by posting or PMing me, LMK who you're going to RAK...
I'm also curious to keep track of the tasks that people come up with... (some ideas can be found on the RAO Charity thread, and you can come up with your own from the inspirations there)...
