As far as Rome... I liked Rome all right, but Verona was much nicer. As for the dietary restrictions, I have no idea how that would impact travel plans. There were lots of markets, though, so you could always cook for yourself.

Judaism:
I know the general premises and laws and theology.
I know there is one synagogue in Saskatoon.
I wish I knew someone that was a practising Jew, just for some variety of conversation. They're pretty rare up here.

editted to add:
homemade ice cream
I know how to make it with two different sized coffee cans.
I know it is the yummiest ice cream in existance.
I wish I knew how to convince myself that it was worth making.

we interrupt this chain-game to bring you a Medeous Factoid ©:

my daughter is a finicky eater and is quite wary of vegetables. i tried to "friendlify" asparagus for her by singing "this is the dawning of a plate of a asparagus, a plate of asparagus, a-spar-a-guuuuuus a-spar-a-gus!"....she'll sing it, but she still won't eat it. <_<

Driving in the city beset with city thoughts I turned a curve past Laguna Honda Hospital and was transfixed to see hundreds of goats wandering along the side of the road -- goats with art deco horns and different colored coats and whiskers tinkly in the wind -- I felt I had entered a medieval kingdom. I pulled over and got out and climbed up the hill and just watched as all these goats began to eat the hillside. I learned they were being used to weed poison oak and dead bark from the hillside. But I leave that aspect for the pragmatic, I just liked laying there in the sun while they moved around me! I know what goats are used for....
