Just an FYI -- on my What is Rustell doing thread I have everything listed by month that I need to do and that I am waiting for -- color coded - Red I need to do, Blue I am waiting for, gray is complete....so it serves the same purpose as this thread...but it is just specific for me.

I promised a PIF to chunkymonkey last night on the PIF thread and I got that in the mail today...A book titled, "Making Journals by Hand". I did send it media mail, though so it might take up to 10 days...or as little as 3.

I just want to say that on behalf of all the poor Piffers who have gotten stiffed, I am upset.

It seems like there are a lot of PIF deadbeats who sign up for Nness, claim PIFs and then never send their PIFs, and then drop off the face of the planet.

I have been wanting to rant about this, but couldn't decide where to do it.

For the record, the people I am thinking of aren't official members, and mostly are new accounts who post for a few days and then leave.

Maybe we should make them send their PIFs (and get confirmation from the PIFfees) before we release their PIFs to them.

Okay, okay, I'm not trying to be a PIF gestapo. I know it's all in good faith and some people just don't live up to their side of the arrangement.

i'm pretty sure kinks is mia and i know earthchildnz was out for awhile and it took me forever to send my pif to letswapart but a lobster-girl can still hope...no? :D

i love the pif thread and i love that i can send my stuff to persons who will appreciate it and once in awhile i get pretty hyped abput a pif i sign up to receive and i never receive it so i stopped looking at pifs and chose to rak people instead.

mmmm. yeah, what she (and she and she and she) said. I love PIFstuff and what is pissing me off lately is that people aren't ACKNOWLEDING that things have made it! A thank you would be ideal but even "it made it" would be nice. On my tracking thread I have a lengthy list of stuff I have sent out, and not one of the remaining names have bothered to let me know that it is there! Should I assume that the "mail has been lost" like 10 times???

Maybe members only, or prenewbies you''ve worked with before on the PIF? That seems rather harsh though....I don't know what the answer is. I've always had good success with the few PIF's I've done. *shrug*

Mpurr has that clearly stated somewhere... that if she has never exchanged with you before, then your stuff has to go out first before she will send anything. It didn't bother me, as I knew I would be sending my things out in good faith. I have PIFfed a few times in just the short time I have been here and not received what was offered by the person PIFfing to me.... but that's THEIR karma, not mine.

And if I have indeed forgotten a PIF, PLEASE let me know. I try not to even go in that thread unless I have something already in an envie ready to go, but sometimes I can't help myself. :D

There is only one PIF still outstanding in the world of hadaverde: I am still waiting to receive some sort of rune necklace from earthchildnz, from a very long time ago. I've never been terribly concerned about it because I claimed that PIF right before she went on hiatus due to personal distress, and I was more concerned about whether or not she was doing OK, than I was about getting a necklace.

All other PIFs I claimed have reached me. I've also sent all PIFs I owed -- if anyone I was sending to has by any chance not received the item I owed them, please PM me and I'll be happy to resend.

Someone owes me a PIF, and I owe her one as well. (Both are ATCs, she owes me three random ones, I owe her 3 that I made from her list of themes). She was supposed to send hers when I first signed up for the site, but I still have not received a thing. I have hers made, but I cannot get her address. I've tried over and over again to contact her--several times through PM and then once through e-mail. Either she hasn't checked either, or else I'm being ignored. What should I do in this situation? Should I call it a day and move on (we both owe each other three so it sort of cancels eachother out) or should I attempt to keep contacting her (I've tried at least once a week for a month now). Since I am new at all of this, can someone explain to me what the proper thing to do would be? It's getting very frustrating.

I believe Christiangirl is referring to an anonymous someone, not to me, because I have not received any PMs about it and I don't recall ever putting up a list of ATC themes for a PIF. If I'm wrong about this, please let me know.

This wouldn't be the first time my username has been a source of confusion. :P

As far as I know, the only thing I owe from PIF is ATCs to Natt, and they will be sent today.

I am owed a packet of origami paper from cyph0r. It's been a while, so I should probably send a reminder PM.

ETA: I'm also owed an envie of cardstock from zmom, but that's very recent.

LOL--sorry for the mix up guys. Yes "Someone" is right, I was referring to an anonymous person. :) So, does anyone know what I should do? I can give the name to anyone who thinks they can help--through a PM. That way it will still be semi-anonymous, and I can perhaps know if this person's record is good here... I don't know if I should continue waiting, just give up, or report her.

As you can see by reading this thread, members often post names of those who owe them PIFs...whether you do that here is up to you. But I would suggest it, if you've repeatedly tried to contact through PMs.

Another spot you could try is the "Has anyone heard from..." (http://forums.nervousness.org/index.php?showtopic=8288&st=320) thread, but again, you'd have to post the user's name to get any help.

Have you tried looking at their profile? If you click on the user's name, there's a spot on the profile that says "find users posts"....that's the easiest way to find if they've been to the forums lately....the top post listed in the search will be the most recent post the user has made, you can check the date.

If all else fails, try getting in touch with a BoD member....there's plenty of them around who are always willing to help.
