Hey Nymphette, no problem! ;)
I love pretty much all of that album (now singing 'Omaha' :) ) - but I'm not too familiar with what they did afterwards.

Now playing on the radio - 'Je cherche', by Tarmac. If you want to listen to the same music I do, check this out... Le Mouv' (http://www.radiofrance.fr/chaines/lemouv/sommaire/), and click on "A l'antenne en direct Ecoute Le Mouv'" at the top of the page.

yup.. you will squeeze the life out of me.... hm...

it's a remake of an old song, unreleased... from the studio sessions of life's rich pageant... my cousin is a total r.e.m. nut, i like them but i dont' know a lot about them, i just liek my certain songs and albums, and that is it!!! ;)
i am so NOT up on current music though... i have a stubborn block against liking anything later than, say, the eighties... for the most part, htat is..t here are several exception, though my husband doens't think tht a couple songs here and there throught he past ten years or so counts... he listens to the popular radio station... blech.....

For Nymphette -
But I'm sure there's something in a shade of grey, something in between...

And James... 'No Rain'... That's one of my favorites too.
I was listening to my special favorites mix... It's got a lot of the songs I've been obsessed with since my college days. I think I should make a "tome 2", though, I had to leave out a bunch of stuff... Hmm. There's an idea!

Now playing - same mix CD *grin*...
'Pure Morning' - Placebo. "A friend in need's a friend indeed..."
'Trip Like I Do" - Filter and the Crystal Method (from the Spawn soundtrack)

Cuilanië

OK, I'll just give the track list to that mix CD, because I've been listening to little else since I made it a few weeks ago... Not that it matters, but you'll get tired of me posting the same thing over and over... If anyone wants a copy, PM me!

1. U2, 'Where the Streets Have No Name'
2. The Cure, 'Friday I'm In Love'
3. Blind Melon, 'No Rain'
4. Propellerheads, 'History Repeating'
5. Placebo, 'Pure Morning'
6. Filter and the Crystal Method, 'Trip Like I Do'
7. Smashing Pumpkins, 'Bullet With Butterfly Wings' - I'm not a Pumpkins fan, but this one - and 'Zero' - rocks.
8. Live, 'Heropsychodreamer' - I only know this album and the one before it...
9. Prodigy, 'Firestarter'
10. Our Lady Peace, 'Naveed' - their first album is still their best, IMO
11. Red Hot Chili Peppers, 'Give It Away' *grin*
12. Pearl Jam, 'Rearviewmirror' - Like a few of these bands, I'm not too familiar with - and don't like much - their later stuff
13. Rush, 'Virtuality' - great Canadian band, one I must get to know better!
14. Counting Crows, 'Mr. Jones'
15. The Tragically Hip, 'Nautical Disaster'
16. R.E.M., 'Nightswimming'
 Love this CD!

On my way down to where I am at as of now, I was listening to The Stooges "Funhouse" and also Interpol.

In my head? umm, usually something by my influences: "Blue" or "Bittersweet Symphony" by the Verve, 'Higher than the sun" by Primal Scream, "I think I'm in love" by Spiritualized. new stuff: it's been The Pernice Bros.'s " Number two" off 'Yours, mine, and ours' for some weeks now in my head.

I have the exact opposite opinion! I loved Touch but haven't been able to get into any of her albums after that. (I have liked some of the songs individually, though.) In fact, I liked that first album so much that I wrote her a fan letter and she wrote back. I bet the autographed postcard she sent would be worth something now. Not that I would sell it.

Anyhow, the song playing now is just playing in my head, and has been since I heard about Elliott Smith's suicide. "Alameda," from the Either/Or album.

My coworker's radio is set to some blah radio station but one of "MY" songs was just on....(even if they did spell my name wrong :P)

Sara Smile by Hall and Oates

Baby hair with a woman's eyes

I can feel you watching in the night

All alone with me and we're waiting for the sunlight

When I feel cold you warm me

When I feel I can't go on you come and hold me

It's you... And me forever

Sara Smile

Won't you smile a while for me

If you feel like leaving you know you can go

But why don't you stay until tomorrow?

And if you want to be free, all you have to do is say so

When you feel cold, I'll warm you

And when you feel you can't go on, I'll come and hold you

It's you... And me forever

Sara Smile

Won't you smile a while for me

Ah...I just love hearing songs with my name in them...gives me goosebumps for some reason, but also embarrases me a bit too! :P I'm weird.
