funky paper doll PIF/PIB

Send one funky paper doll to the person who posts before you and one to the person who signs up after you!

Please use creativity and sturdy materials to construct your paper dolls. You can use a premade template, but please make the dolls your own work -- don't just print out something you find online & send it off. Your paper doll should be made of cardstock, chipboard, heavy watercolor paper, or something like that -- no flimsy text-weight paper please. Let's make some tough dolls!

Your paper dolls should be, let's say, 6-12 inches tall. Any media is good -- drawing, painting, rubberstamping, collage & found papers. You can use brads or eyelets to make movable parts, or not. You can make them clothes to change into or not - that's up to you. Consider adding funky fiber hair, hats/crowns, accessories, etc. Embellish them and make them funky, crazy, beautiful and fun.

Hi, Paperdoll Exchangers:

Could one of you (or more!) upload photos or scans of the dolls? I'd love to see what they look like. I have fond memories of paperdolls. When I was a kid, we were too broke for me to have a corral of Barbies like other kids, so I have a ton of paper dolls; many I made myself. Of course they were meant to be practical, not art paperdolls, so I'd like to see the difference.

So you don't need to create a whole booklet-full of clothing and accessories, eh? I was afraid that the project would be extremely time consuming because of that.

I love that the doll can move! Much more expression possible than my frozen paper dolls of yesteryear.

well, I owe an update from my end: I sent a dollie to Pequad, and Monarch's dollie is laying on my art table minus one arm, that has miraculously disappeared. And I haven't gotten back to it. I'm hoping to do that this weekend.
Myself -- I haven't received any dollies yet. The muses are moving slow in this thread. Not that I'm complaining! Life gets in the way sometimes.

I sent out dolls to Monarch and Pequad from this thread too. Pequad sent me hers ages ago, but Monarch's has yet to show up. Monarch is very active over at ATCards under another username, but seems to be neglecting her committments here. I've pestered her about it several times and she has assured me that she has mailed it - even posted several dolls and asked which one I wanted, but I still haven't received anything.

If I were you, I wouldn't send anything to her until you receive one from her.

etayne - I'm sorry you have not rec'd your doll yet......... I sorta put it off because I have been taken on this site with a few other things that I have sent and have rec'd nothing in return..............One sends things out to people for different themes and you hardly ever here back if they ever rec'd it....I'm not used to that ............I'm new and don't know you guys......I didn't know if you seen anything in the thread about me accepting your doll because nothing was posted...........As far as misto ko doll.......She will have it any day now and I guess I just got busy with other things and kept putting it off........Sorry about the doll and I'll get it out to you..........
