I have to do a huge project for school to be able to graduate. I have to research something, write a paper about 10 pages on it and then come up with an end result (a visual object that needs to almost correspond to my research.).

I had the idea to research the history of pinhole camera and write my paper on that. Then make a pinhole camera, take photos with it and those would be my products. The camera is more complicated to make then I wanted and someone has heard my idea and also wants to do it.

I want to do something unique. I really want to do a project with photography since that is one of my interests. I would like my product to either be photos I have taken or incorporate those photos into the project somehow.

I need your help!! I cant think of anything that will work together that when completed, my paper and product will correspond with each other. I knew all of you at nervousness are so talented someone might be able to help me! Please!!

as you have already mentioned... someone is also thinkin gof doing the pin hole camera idea and from what you wrote you dont sound very confident with it. perhaps. i know that although the pin hole camera is considered one of the most basic forms of photography (and is the first step for first year high schoolers over here, when introduced to the whole photography process) it is pretty hard to get it just right.
my suggestion is that you pick a prominant photographer or a style of photography that appeals to you and run with that.
for example i aced a photography assignment by looking at the manipulation of the viewer when it comes to fashion photography. all the tricks of the trade as such.
look at henri cartier-bresson. he is one of my favourite photographers. his work was mostly candid work. he had a knack for perfectly capturing a moment (excuse the cliche)

good luck mate.

Or you could do a visual/written history of your area. You could do a series of b&W photos and summarize the history of each place/building/area. I'm working on a journal based on my own black and whites of my town, which is chock full o'history. Or a nature theme, with facts about each plant, animal, etc.
