Santa has already been put on notice: I need a globe, to plan world domination.

And a paper shredder. Plausible deniability, baby!

And a naughty massage minion. World domination is very stressy.

A cute little car that would be perfect for my camping trips and other travels.
They get great gas mileage and I just think they're adorable. My husband hates them with a passion.

I want: gift certificates to Cheap Joes Art Supplies (http://www.cheapjoes.com)

My paintings to start selling.

World peace. I REALLY do want world peace!

To meet some of my nervousness buds.

I want Lilac (Tamara) to get a huge apology from Karen.

A trip to England.

an embossing heat gun.

My bathroom renovated --the floor needs replaced and I want the tub done too.

Neat mail from people everywhere or anywhere.

Happiness and creativity to abound.

I would love a Canon Digital Rebel camera.

And a Toyota Camry. Or a Mazda 6 Sport Sedan (automatic Transmission of course) in a rich blue color!
I am a dreamer!

Edited to add: A subscription to Watercolor Magic magazine would be cool too.
I had another idea this morning but it has escaped me.

Books. More or less all of them.

DVDs - only a few of them, but too many to list here.

Counting Crows CDs, and lots of others I can never, ever think of when trying to compile wish lists.

Winter boots.

Fontlab.

A new laptop computer. A new desktop computer.

Time to allow me to take a language class every semester.

A loophole in US immigration law.

A house with room for a new old printing press, and for all those books...

A reemergence of civil society and the development of a responsible, thinking electorate in this country.

Some means of getting myself started on writing and other projects.

Stacks of money and world peace would both be nice, too.

My Hubby to get a real job, you know the kind where we would get health insurance, be able to pay our mortgage in the FIRST 15 days of the month and not the LAST TWO, pay all our bills before they're really due, buy groceries for more than a few days at a time and still be able to buy things like clothes, furniture, DVD's and CD's and send Megan to Med School.

A laptop with wireless networking.

A SLR digital camera.

A Volvo XC90 (http://www.volvocars.us/Showroom/XC90/) with the integrated child booster seats. But right now I would just settle for a 1995 4 door Chevy Blazer with a CD player, even in a icky color.

An Extreme Makeover for my house.

Megan to go back to being potty-trained.

A ripple in the space-time continueum so that my daddy is alive again.

For life to be fair to those who deserve it.

I'll even take a free yearly pass on the public trans if they will provide excuses for my tardiness.

I want:
nice weather so we can go visit our families for Christmas.

replacemetns for some of the many, many CD's stolen out of my hubby's truck

Books....always

Sculpy Clay and little pins/magnets for the backs of my creations

Sheet music for my piano (I am intermediate or advanced intermediate) especially wedding collections, light jazz, Christmas music, Broadway songs, etc. Anyone have any they want to send me?

DVD's....always

Another year as filled with magic as this one was....after all...this time last year I was mega-stressing about all the last minute wedding details. Now I not only have an awesome husband whom I love with all my heart, but a perfect little baby boy. Can't WAIT to see what God has in store for our little family THIS year!! :-D

...in the '80s, maybe. They seem so Wall Street

I'd like:

Some near-native fluency in Russian
For Russian to stop interfering with my French (You don't understand my desire to omit "to be" in all languages now).
For Russian to stop interfering with my Czech
Two plane tickets to Seattle
That visiting job at Bowdoin
Watercolour paper
Postage (although I think my sister-in-law just bought my $75 worth of it for Christmas...please!)
Vast big tubs of acrylic paints
A cure for procrastination
That grant to go to Russia
That dissertation write-up fellowship or the equivalent funding
The opportunity to teach a lit course
Dovzhenko's Earth on DVD
Jacques le fataliste...
The massive edition of Pushkin's complete works.
Ushakov
A better memory
A slew of snazzy, lined a-line skirts that fit
Some more talent
Art supplies
Gift certificate to The Japanese Paper Place
I'd like a more rewarding job for ptichka...or at least once where I don't want to strangle most of her colleagues because they are complete and utter jackasses.

Wow, time to put a lid on the greed monster. Ick.

would love to have some colleagues replaced by friendlier ones :P
a new baby
a visit to London
chocolate chip cookies
a meet and greet with madonna
a new hairstyle (maybe purple this time)
a henna tattoo
loose some weight (although christmastime and new years is not a good time for this)
...

Black is so five minutes ago (you know that's a saying I've never used in 'real life' but it is fun to use here) -- now you need a stainless steel seat to freeze your rear off on!

ALL kinds!! Mostly what I call
~"upper level" fiction (you know...well written....good plots and character development instead of all the books by that author seeming like exactly the same book just with different names);
~ fantasy (same thing...PLEASE be original!!);
~ biographies, especially of early american heroes....strong women (Susanna Wesley, Queen Elizabeth, Harriet Tubman, etc)...successful artists (all types of artists);
~ kids books! I have a son who has no books yet!
~ ART BOOKS!!! hehehehe And of course, art books....my dreams for this year are to learn to quilt and to learn to crochet.
~ anything non-fiction
~ anything ancient greece, rome or egypt
~ anything theatre related

I could go on but i won't.....I was always the one who in junior high would go to the library and check out the 12 book maximum and have them all read by the next week...big books...not kid books.

[size=1] edited to add: please forgive the lack of punctuation....I am nursing and typing one-handed!

You obviously frequent a higher quality institution than I do. I meant "institutional" more in the sense of a high school or prison toilet, circa 1955.

Actually, I think this whole bathroom color scheme came from a vintage dishtowel...

But I found the black toilet seat online! And may you all get a shiver in your nickel-plated facilities!
